This thread makes me cringe.

My wife, who is a UF grad, and I were not quite married yet. What does this mean? It means that as long as my wife and I have been married (9 years), UT has NEVER beaten UF.

Happy wife, happy life?

No offense, but most of the stuff in this thread does not seem like all that long, except for the one where Bush was in his first term, although that's an odd way to put it, since he only had one term. Oh, you meant the other Bush. Nevermind.

I was a student at UT. Good times. Would have never guessed it would be ten years later without another win...

I honestly don't know if I can take another L to the Gators.

My son was 2....he now is in the 8th grade playing wide receiver, and corner. Man how time flies, and how it has been so long since we won.

I really want a win here. It hurts my soul to think that beloved Vols have gone a full decade without a win against (gag, choke it back down; sorry I just threw up a little) the Gators. I was a student when we snapped the streak nearly as long against The Bear and Bama. I have a framed picture of that game as the World's Fair was in full swing. You should have seen the strip the next morning buried under beer cans, paper and other party debris. I was in Lexington and watched Dooley, Bray and others dial it in with a pathetic uninspired performance when UK snapped their streak against us. I feel the pressure here is at that tipping point, and I would rather see it blow up on the field against UF than against this coaching staff, which has brought us so far in 3 years.

My wife had a flat chest. 1 surgery and $7,000, and BOOM!!!! Come to think of it, if my life continues to change like this, I don't care if we ever win again. :)

Both of my grandparents have passed away, I have bought a house in South Florida, 7 acres of land in Tennessee and have had a successful kidney transplant.

Or tickets, especially to big games, there was no such thing as purchasing season tickets you were put on a waiting list and you waited for someone to relinquish there's and you didn't care where the seats were. When you got them you just knew you were going to every game to see the beloved Vols play. C'mon Big Orange Beat these guys!

I was still in Tennessee, Morristown to be exact. In a room full of friends, screaming at the tv.. cheering the Vols on to victory. that was before I met Satan, the reason I had (not really had to but when something calls you daddy you have a different outlook) to move to Alabama... Satan remarried. I have remarried, had a beautiful daughter so now my son has a sister, (my current wife and I fuss all the time so we will last Forever). Now I am in the second worst state in the union (minus M..I..S..S..I.S..S..I..P..P..I), and I miss Home,................. and my hair is thinning :)
