Boys and girls, even the glacially moving NFL is waking up to the potential appeal of “American football” to our neighbors to the South of our national borders. An NFL version of a kickoff classic transpired in Brazil last night. Given the pattern of European colonization of the Americas, Spanish and Portuguese are the prevalent languages rather than English or French.

Carlos and VamosVols are a treasure, and, in their own way, precedence setting. What other college sports teams have their very own second language broadcasts?

Vamos Vols!
[Let’s go Vols!]

I hope everybody understands that the starting quarterback for the University of Tennessee is Hispanic. Lol. They also make up twenty percent of the US and they were on the soil that we call America before we ever were. They also make up over 19 percent of the US military. Just a thought. GBO
Hispanics were not on American soil before Europeans. Hispanics only exist because of Europeans.
