This is how every TD should be called!

I hope everybody understands that the starting quarterback for the University of Tennessee is Hispanic. Lol. They also make up twenty percent of the US and they were on the soil that we call America before we ever were. They also make up over 19 percent of the US military. Just a thought. GBO
And?

Someone definitely correct me if I'm wrong -

But, didn't Carlos start out streaming the games in Spanish on YouTube and he got a following. Then, got notice by someone with the school and is now considered the Spanish voice of The Vols. Personally, I LOVE the energy...even if I don't understand much of what he is saying. The love, passion, and enthusiasm is understood.

And the Egyptians and the Nephilim were "on the soil that we call America" before the Hispanics. How is this relevant to calling a touchdown play?
We're playing college football and nfl football in different countries. It's not about America its a sport. Be kind and be nice. I'm not religious, but there was a man named Jesus. Which, by the way, is a hispanic name. GBO!!

I agree. It's a sport. Albeit one played predominantly in America. What difference does ethnicity make?

And how is Jesus or religion involved in this? The name Jesus originates from Hebrew, and is an English adaptation of the name Yeshua. It's associated with Jewish ethnicity and culture. The name Jesus was only adopted much later in Latino cultures.

But the relevance any of this has to someone making a football call in Spanish escapes me.

There's been a lot of weird hate (not here on VN that I've noticed) in America lately towards Hispanics. A lot of my Marines are Hispanic and they are reporting it too, so I know it's not made up. This poster is probably just trying to head it off before it came up? Idk, but of all the problems VN has, I really don't think racism is one of them so it kinda fell flat. There's just the one poster complaining about Spanish in American football but just the one and that person probably sucks anyway so : shrug:

So were the American Indians. In much larger numbers. If you got technical, South Americans shouldn't even be Hispanic.

Hey let me break it down if 20 percent of the country is Hispanic and 20 percent of the military is Hispanic it would be a safe bet that 20 percent of Merica football will be Hispanic. Just a thought. Who cares what people are as long as they enjoy football? I really enjoy that Hispanics have taken to Merica football. By the way, folks, it's just a game played by young men. Stop the hate preach the peace. GBO

Vamos Vols makes something we love more accessible to Latin Americans and broadens our market. Therefore, it is good. It's really that simple.

Carlos Lopez also could probably read a recipe out loud and make it the most exciting thing you hear all week.
No kidding!!! I wish I could get him for my eulogy!! Go Big Naranja!!!!

And actually; the Norsemen even beat him here.

So the immigrant order I have is ….

1) Siberian (land bridge)
2) Scandinavians (Norsemen)
3) Italian
4) Spanish
5) British
6) and the rest
