It's August 9th and I'm getting emails telling me I can order extra tickets to the Florida and Alabama games? Florida and Alabama have not sold out yet? Really? Wow.....

Wow......just wow. Im so sad for them. I wish we had the problem of winning 3 of the last 4 national chamionships and still not selling out. They have something to pull for.....we have hope. I am with you all. I just hope Neyland is 60 -40 at least on those game days. Wow....just wow.

Unfortunetly this is the age we live in, until Dooley produces and excites on the field our ticket sells will be down. Not to mention everybody has HD these days. I wouldn't worry though, I'm sure these games will be sold out by kickoff.

Why would people spend a lot of money (that some don't have) to see Tennessee get their teeth kicked in at home?

I know, I know... they're fair weather fans etc etc.

Did Tennessee sell out every single away game? Seriously, these games are more than likely not going to be competitive if not a for-sure win for UF and Bama.

The OP was addressing the Tennessee fanbase, however.

Good Grief!!
At uttix there are no more tickets left for gayter game except in the mini-pack!
It will be packed if not sold out! (By the way the mini-pack with Oregon in it is sold out!)

CALM DOWN PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

Just don't sell them to 40 year old, pom-pom waving Bama fans.

In 08 my buddy from Birmingham, who's a Bama fan, bussed up here with a few hundred other Bama fans and the company doing the promotion gave them orange shirts to wear when they were looking for tickets.

You're making an awfully big assumption there about me. Being knowledgeable or understanding for a situation doesn't reflect personal choices for that situation.

These games can get very expensive for an out-of-towner especially if you have a family that you're buying tickets for. That is money some people don't have. They might love UT... but I'm sure they love paying the mortgage, keeping the electricity running and feeding their family more.

Being competitive in a game is one thing... having your teeth kicked in and a big bill for viewing it are entirely different.

i wasnt talking about buying tickets iw as talking about the lack of faith or hope that tennessee will show up to play ball

I can certainly understand why people wouldn't want to drop hundreds of dollars to witness a "moral victory".

HMMM, true. BUT if the guys beat Oregon, I suspect ticket sells will be hard to come by even on the black market.

For now, they might want to try selling at the malls in Knoxville, teacher groups at local schools, coaches and their players at the same (maybe discounts for non-college customers), and maybe nearby armed forces bases.

Crazy idea!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why doesn't the UT employ a work at home scheme where you can receive and sell under contract tickets similar to how Amway, Shakelee, and USANA does it? Sellers get a commission according to number of tickets sold. Yes, I know, it's a crazy idea and I'm even more crazy for suggesting it BUT. . . .

2 losing season out of 5 will do that. Not to mention 3 coaches in 3 years. I don't like it but it is what it is.

i'll take two

Stay classy, 99. We know you've heard that before from other Vol fans while lurking on the GVX website. You're not as screwed up as DC or zz, or kman, or whoever, but still, don't be one, ok? :good!:
