Pruitt’s defense is hot garbage. And it’s getting worse, not better. So what in the world would be the justification for keeping him?

He can’t coach up the very unit he is supposedly the expert of. He and his staff also can’t apparently recruit without cheating (and haven’t really done anything special in recruiting anyway).

Why would bringing him back do anything but make the rebuild more difficult by keeping a coach we all know isn’t going to be coaching here after next year?

Oh no. Not even close. We have another season, maybe two of this arrogant coach telling us to shut up and like it. Fulmer won’t do anything as long as himself paychecks clear.

It’s sucks, but it’s where we are.

Every unit on his D is horrible. The one unit that seemed to be slightly performing above expectations was the D line. So, stands to reason we fired the d line coach.

He's clearly out of his depth as a head coach.

Our linebackers couldn't cover an old lady on a walker. They react too slow when coverage is needed and the receivers....normally RB's and TE's have almost two steps on them. Every team this year has been able to exploit that.

I don't know what's more painful to watch, defense or offense. JP's 3rd down defense is the worst I've seen in 40 years. He could literally do anything else and it would be better. Players are undisciplined, hands to face, false starts, that's on the coaching. This team is just bad, very bad.

Jeremy Pruitt is 16-19 after three full seasons.
Derek Dooley was 15-21.
Butch Jones was 21-17.

Jones went 9-4 in his fourth season. No way Pruitt wins 9 games next year. It’s over. Go get Hugh Freeze or Joe Brady or Steve Sarkisian or Gus Malzahn. They’re all leaps and bounds better than Pruitt.

Gus Malzahn is the right choice. He is proven and runs a clean program. I could envision a Rick Barnes benefit to hiring him.
