Wow!!!

What a favorable seed -- I had been predicting a six seed, with a four if they went deep in the SEC tourney...

Bracket matchups...

UVa is a tough out, but can choke in close pressure matchups.

OSU? Would have beat them AT THEIR PLACE w/ a couple of free throws at the end. On a neutral site, I like our chances.

Who's up next?

If things hold to form, Memphis. Been there, done that.

And then? How sweet it would be to end Florida's run?

I like your optimistic thinking. I agree that we got a great draw.

One game at a time, boys.

An elite-8 run for this team would be a LANDMARK accomplishment for the program.

I actually think we're in bad shape for a Final 4 run. We're pretty favorable for making it to the Sweet 16, but Ohio State has improved by leaps and bounds since we lost. They would probably dismantle us.

A&M won't make it out of Lexington. The committee saw to that by giving Louisville a home game. That was another egregious error by the selection panel What did Louisville do to merit that treatment?

They won't dismantle us, if we can get them to play at our pace it could get interesting on a neutral court.. Plus, Oden will have to guard on the perimeter at times. When Wayne comes of a screen, or pops an open three, it will give opportunites for penetration by Ramar and Lofton if he so desires.

tOSU's defense has stepped up big time, and Oden wasn't at his best against us. We'd be lucky to keep it within 10.

However, if we make it that far, I'll obviously cheer my voice out for 60 minutes.

He actually had one his better games against us back in January..(He was close to 100% with his right wrist at that time) Wayne has improved his interior defense going down the stretch. Also, we made the mistake in putting Crews on him most of the game. Wayne held him to 4 points when he was assigned to him in the middle of the second half.. Like I said, if we get them to play at our pace we have a chance to knock them off. Oden can get winded like he did against Florida and even us when we sped things up late in the second half.

I thought the draw given to UofL was inexcusable. Why not send Memphis to Lexington and Texas A&M/UofL to New Orleans??? This reminds me of a few years ago when 3-seeded Miss. State played and lost to 6-seeded Texas in Dallas. If the committee is just going to do whatever they want with the pods, then get rid of the 1-4 seeds play close to home rule. If there is going to be a rule, they need to follow it. What happened with A&M-UofL should get the entire committee replaced next year. I doubt that was an accident. They did it for a reason and should have to explain why. Were they worried about ticket sales? Also, I don't think Xavier, who is closer to Lexington than Ohio State, should be playing in Lexington either.

We can beat those teams on any given night, but it is highly unlikely that we could keep up enough steam to take them all down in succession.

OSU is playing against their conference, which is a difference pace and style of basketball. When they play against faster paced teams like Florida and Tennessee, they will have their problems. Just like Big Ten football is slow, so is their basketball.

Actually, I think Oden had his best game against us.
