This Georgia team is comparable to the one the VOLS beat in 2004, but is much better than the dawgs 2006 version. The pro -style offense will help the VOLS some. The straight line running plays will be less effective against the VOLS front 7, because Big MCCULLERS will be in the game more. The passing game will likely not fair too well for the VOLS slow secondary. Everybody remembers the recruitment of Marlon Brown. They can have Memphis players if they want them. Frankly, Browns off the field problems should have gotten him kicked off the team. Last year Teague got burned for something like 4 catches 135 yds(roughly). Hopefully Coleman will fair better. Vols will miss Randolph tremendously in this game. B Moore has to be great. That being said, anything can happen in the SEC. Its like the pros. GO VOLS!! pull off the upset. Nobody thinks they will win and that always helps the us against the world approach to a game. This could be an excellent road team. We will find out soon. Georgia is the class of the east this year and could give either bama or lsu a run for their money if Georgia doesn't stumble more than once

If we win, we'll have to win in shootout fashion.

I just hope that we're still in it at halftime and the players can stay focused for 4 quarters.

UGA could come out and lay an egg. Murray could be off and throw a couple of pick sixes. There could be another goal line fumble (that we actually recover). On the flip side, Neal could run like a man possessed. Bray could have a career day.

Realistically, they'll probably win. But if a few breaks go our way, we could walk out of Athens with a W.

Have to get out to a lead, because for whatever reason we are front runners. When we have the lead the defenseive and offensive lines are so much better.

If Georgia scores early and get up two scores its over.

This is going to be a tough game IMO. Their defense is better than ours, plus they get Rambo and Ogeltree back. I just don't think we can match them point for point when you compare the defenses.

today's practice will tell me a lot how we will show up on saturday. if it's a very physical practice i like our chances.. if the guys don't respond i will be concerned. however i think the fact that we get back two all american candidates (one who was an all american last year) who are very eager to play that could give us an additional boost defensively and offensively we get malcolm mitchell back as another offensive weapon..

Compared to last years team, there D at full strength is slightly better than last years. There offense is about the same minus the deep threat of Mitchell (which is the reason we lost last year imo).

I hope our guys just play to have fun and can find a rhythm. We are a very hot and cold team. Whether it's a whole game or quarters of a game we play very inconsistently. This UT team when playing well can beat GA but they've yet to string a 4 full quarters of that style together. Hopefully they will but that requires they break from their current pattern.

I do think we need a lead going into the 4th to win. This GA D like FL's is very good as the game wears on especially when they are in attack mode. We need to have them on their heels.

i agree on the d, but offensively we are much better than last year. our passing game is better and our running game is as well. the big key to both of those is an offensive line that right now is better than our oline last year. also our wr unit is better.. michael bennett is better than last year as is king. marlon brown has shown when he is healthy he is very tough to handle with 2 - 100 yad games this year. wooten is back healthy and he was out all last season and we do have mitchell who is going to be playing a lot more offensive snaps than he has earlier in the year because we are at full strength defensively. not much i can say about marshall and gurley.. both are having a terrific year.

We can beat UGA. We have the talent. That being said, we have to play 4 quarters with no breakdowns and we have to go 100% to give us a decent shot.

All good points. The passing game is much improved. Murray has been playing lights out football for ya'll. Marshall and Gurley have been impressive for freshman, but they have yet to face a front 7 like ours. I'm not saying our D is unbelievably good, but we are built to stop the power run game. If your Off. Coor. does his homework then you will see a lot of the pass game against us ha.

What did Marlon Brown do that should have resulted in being kicked off the team?

yeah that's a great question since marlon brown has had no issues off the field.

Exactly. I have no problem when some of our knuckleheads get in trouble and get ridiculed for it. Brown has been nothing like that, he's handled himself very well the whole time in Athens.

I thought the OP might have made a mistake, but he described Brown specifically well.

Richt is the only reason I hold out hope for a victory. UGA is more talented and deeper across the board. Richt just cant get it done for some reason.

I rarely feel this way but IMO the coaches lost the FL game. I DO think we have enough good players to beat almost anyone on a given day except the filthy elephants in maroon.

Creative play calling and focus can do wonders but we have not seen any of that from a Dooley coached team.
