Was waiting for some idiot ass to blame Dooley. Did his staff **** up the end of Oklahoma and Florida also?

His staff is the reason we're having to rely on a lot of freshmen and sophomores to make plays against the likes of Oklahoma and Alabama and Florida while knowing there isn't much in the way of a back up should they be hurt doing so.

At what point do we stop holding dooley accountable for the current coaching staff's poor decisions?

...yea.

As soon as us idiots on VN stop acting like any of us possess the intelligence or ability to coach better than our coaches.

...yea.

If you actually knew anything about recruiting then you would know why Butch is paying the price for Doofus's 2012 debacle. But hey, you're on fire.

Butch's high recruiting rankings have been due to quantity not quality. Look at the average star ranking per player for the top 10 teams the last 2 years, we're close to or at the bottom

That's actually 100% false. Rivals only counts the top 20 recruits and we still finished top 5 the last 2 years. Our average star ranking has been right around our class rank.

Why would you state such a bold face lie?

Because he wants Butch and the Vols to fail. That way he can have something to complain about.

Then how did we get good classes the last couple of times? Butch is selling UT and recruits are buying! Have a little more patience while we get back to being a force in the SEC.

Put yourself in the shoes an a top rated 17 year old recruit who ha been following college football for 5-10 years. You have been interested in UT because of the tradition, facilities, stadium size and number times you will be seen on national TV. How many victories have the Vols had over big time programs in that period?

Tradition, stadium, fan support and other factors will keep us in the recruiting game for a while but if we do not start winning big games very soon, our recruiting classes will suffer.

Remember beating Notre Dame in Knoxville and then a few years later rallying back to beat the Domers at home? Remember beating Miami in the Sugar Bowl when the Miami players were saying they had heard of voles but not the Vols? Contrast that to getting blown out 2x by Oregon on national TV.

Depth is a key issue. Even though things are looking up, there's still a long way to go. The recruiting battle is a constant challenge. Looks like our team is taking a hit right now in the rankings. It's all about perception . . . to continue building, they have to win out the rest of the season.

Scout huh?
How about we go by the 247 composite since it takes all of the recruiting sites into play.

When Derek Doofus was out recruiting wake forest and Tenneseee State while Saban was pulling in 5 stars. Very few srs and jrs today for Tennesse while Bama was loaded with them.

100 % agree I've said all alone that Dooley failing to recruit offensive lineman would kill us. It shows now that he is gone:

I've been following it longer than you've been alive. Don't talk to me about not understanding anything Tennessee football.

it's all Dooley's fault but Bama had this string of beating the VOLS going since 2001.

And I'm guessing JohnnyBall is still crying in his beer over Fulmer being fired.

Wow im sick of this youth argument . Its a factor but you can only hang your hat on it so much . Remember a FLa team that the whole offensive side of the ball was young . Just a bunch guys on the Oline that never played before . News flash they beat us ! Remember everyone talking about all the freshman on OK offensive line . Newsflash they beat us . Please lets give this young team stuff a rest. Most of the soph have played since they were Freshmen . Does experience not count also. Let me let you in on a little secret coaches are always gonna scream about youth . Every coach in America will ride that horse till it dies on the trail and then they will start with yes we are JRs and Sr but they haven't played much. Not much experience . I think there must be a class on coach speak to fan bases . sorry put the wrong quote up here.

Really? Hmmm, so how many times have you seen Saban, Meyer, Miles, Briles, Dabo or some other top coaches talk about youth in a loss? How many of those coaches had to replace their entire OL and DL in one year? You and your ilk just dont like facts because it punches a hole directly in your argument.

Was Florida and Oklahomas defenses very young? Were they starting true freshman and sophmores on the D? Of course this info will fall on deaf ears because your the type that just doesnt understand things like this. If the Alabama game did not show you the importance of recruiting, experience and having upperclassmen then I dont know what will.

Chris Lowe said on tonight's The Nation radio show that this is the first time since Saban has been coach at Al that UT has been ahead in the 4th quarter and also noted in 2007 when UT was SEC east champ, we were stomped by both Fl and Al. Winning the rest of games will be difficult but at least very possible now.

Really? Damn, I could swear I watched Tennesee win in 2003,2004 & 2006 but I guess I was dreaming.

**** that makes their steak 15 games doesn't it?

Your post has as much credit ability as their 15 NCs

We have a new one. Credit ability is awesome. Better than pocket presents imo.
