This Game Really Opened My Eyes

What stings the most: it seems like we'd have been better off abandoning the passing game and just running the ball outside all night.

It's like Butch makes the wrong decision whether he listens to criticism or not.

So we have 2 losses (that are clearly our coaches fault) to undefeated teams and another to a team no where close to our talent level....and we are over hyped. Every one needs to stop making excuses for this coaching staff. The only position that is developed properly is our running backs. That's it. Buy out or not, they should all be fired for being incompetent.

I went to the game tonight and after having seen what went down I'm actually backing off of blaming Butch Jones. As fans we wanted to see more of our passing game and by God we sure got it. We now know why Jones and Debord haven't been calling passing plays. If it's not Dobbs throwing uncatchable balls it's our butterfinger receivers dropping them. After tonight I've come to the conclusion that we really aren't a good team. The Iowa game and all the hype in the off season really set a tone for us that NEVER should have been set, it was all a rouse. What I witnessed tonight wasn't just play calling problems it was an all around team problem. We were missing tackles all over the field on defense, our db's were leaving receivers open to catch the balls. Our offensive blocking is still weak but we all knew that going into the season.

We are a young team guys and as much as we don't want to hear it, or believe it from Butch or anyone else the fact is we ARE a young, flawed team, plain and simple.

Dude.. seriously enough! You have two top 5 recruiting classes in a row, and you can't coach them up to do what other less fortunate teams are doing, than somethings off!

Im pretty sure we all agree with you. However, we were in position to win all the three games we lost. I dont believe youth is the reason.

We are under achieving in nearly every aspect, which is a coaching problem. True this was the worst performance by far by the players, we still dont have a QB that can throw, which i believe is 800lb gorilla in the room. It for that reason the o is trying to accomodate for an inept qb, which is the chain reaction for the total offense.

I have no explanation for the D tonight, but this too was their poorest effort by far.

Yes, yes we are. So were all of these teams who lost head coaches three years ago. Somehow, all have made great strides. Has Arkansas come close to our recruiting success? Were they top five the past two years? We recruit--where's the coaching?

I'd rather have a Pinkel recruiting the 40th best recruiting class and being able to coach them up than have a coach-speaking, carnival-barking recruiter who can't coach or manage in-game coaches.

Yes this! Especially D-Line. Were getting whipped on the D-Line!

Don't you know that our D-Line's only job is to entertain us during off-season by humiliating our O-line in circle of life competitions?

My 2nd son is playing high school football for the same coach as his older brother. In that time we've been to the state finals and the final 4 a couple times. The last 2 years were 500 but we are undefeated and ranked #1 in the state having already beaten a #1 and #3 this year.

The point is .......Coaching matters!!!!

Look, there have been many coaches achieve great success by year 3. Or show signs of greatness.

I'm not advocating for a coaching change yet, but I'm starting to feel like we still don't have the guy. Hate it because I love CBJ... but you gotta win baby, no excuses.

Andy Reed said that by year 3 a coach should have his team. What you see in year 3 is what you're gonna get year in and year out. Coaches who have a bad year 3 usually don't pan out.

I agree with Coug, b8tch if you like. Dobbs made bad passes as well as a couple decent, to be expected I assume, WR's missed balls they should have caught, more than a few, Williams ran like he was in high school with that fumble, maybe because he has not had much of an opportunity to Learn yet, Defense looked lost many times, ran bad angles, missed tackles, could Not get to the QB, if this was a game of only kick or punt returns we win hands down, speaking of ST, Medley.. geez, where are we guys.. and gals. Is next year The year, who knows, but it sure isn't this year.

I think it is time to fire a couple of coordinators! Mainly the OL and OC and promote Elder to OL and promote RB coach or Azzani to OC. Put in Richmond and a couple of the other Freshman OL and bench this OL. They aint getting it done! Put in Dormandy for a few series as well. Shake things up a little.

And you don't think that all boils down to coaching? Watching our kids tonight, I seen a few just running through the motions, and just flat quit playing hard. Butch has a the laughing stock of college football!!
