Like I said in another thread and Pruitt said it and everyone got that bad taste in their mouths.

This team learned how to practice and now they know what it takes to win. This win streak although its not against the best competition proves that. You can only play and beat the teams in front of you and they have done that thus far through the season.

Theyll be ready Saturday. Theyll prolly be a little more hyped up than normal but theyll be ready

Pressure packages and a little power football, please.

Florida has their problems sure but dont pretend like Georgia does not.

Which all means this is a huge game. You can tell by the way Pruitt was answering questions that he hopes the urgency to get better is there from the team. I think he wants this game badly.

I would feel better if we had Emerson on the DL because we haven't played as stellar as I expected up front but we are still solid.

I think our OL will play angry against UGA and the angriest will be Cade Mayes.

WR and DB will be key. Oh yeah, JG needs to look like a different player than in the past against a good team.

They’re going to have to fly around the field regardless. They’ll test our corners early and they have to be ready.

Its 2020 and with Covid who knows the rosters in any game remaining. Add in regular injuries in a year. But all things being equal 7-3 in all SEC schedule is a good year as we head back to the Top. But I do expect us to be in 4th quarter with a chance to win against big 3 this year.

This game is like a yardstick to measure our progress. If we win or keep it close then that is very good. If we look like Auburn last week.....not good!
If anything, I would say it is less important because we now have an all-sec schedule so every week matters and we picked up two tough matchups against aTm and Auburn.

I felt when the schedule was released we had a realistic shot at 7-8 wins. I was never sold on A&M or Auburn. I believe we have a better shot at beating Georgia than Florida at the moment. Smart is overrated as a coach.

I figured Tennessee would be 2-0 and ranked.
I figured Georgia would be really good and ranked in the top 5......it’s pretty much like I thought it would be.....so....it’s certainly not more important.....it’s just as important.

Chaney needs to call the game of his life... or at least the best he's done since here in his last two stints. We should be majority run with a few passes sprinkled in. No trickery with wildcat nonsense. Just use that OLine we have and take advantage of opportunities in the pass game when they come. I'm sure Georgia is going to pack the box, but we get to see what this line is made of this weekend. If they can't get a push with this hyped up line, then we don't deserve to win anyways.

I agree that Chaney needs to call a great game. He really can’t get too pass happy and we have to be really good on 1st and 2nd down. We have to stay out of 3rd and long situations as much as possible because their defense is too good to be allowed to pin their ears back and get after JG. I know you said no trick plays, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see one dialed up if the right opportunity presented itself after a turnover or really good return.

I was never sold on A&M or Auburn either. I was also never sold on a JG led Vols team. There was no reason for me to look for an 8 win season.

That is an honest difference between groups of Vols fans, Other-Guy.

Some, like me, are always sold on the Vols team. It's like, we go into a new season, start of fall camp, or during spring camp, whenever, and we say in our minds, "you had me at Volunteer."

We don't need the lads to prove anything to us. We're 100% bought-in from the drop of the hat, from the first glimpse of orange on a green field. We don't feel any need to be critical, to appraise, to measure to determine whether this edition is acceptable or wanting. We're just sold. Sure, we'll discuss strengths and weaknesses. But we're sold before we even do.

I'm not saying "oh, my kind are true fans and your kind are lesser fans," I'm not saying one way is better than the other, I'm not trying to offer insult. I just recognize that we come at our team in different ways.

Go Vols!
