Will never recover because the fans don't realize how far we have fallen.

It will take 3-5 years to play with the LSU's and the Georgia's.

This fan base is so ridiculous it almost drives me away. I don't have a clue how we recruit with all these negative posts on this board.

I don't get why it should take 5 years; I agree our fanbase should have a little patience, but we also shouldn't really be challenged this heavily by USA. Both camps have points...

We really just miss winning and having fun for 3.5 hours every Saturday.

My thoughts exactly....I'm also pretty sure there has never been a single recruit say "Well I was gonna go to UT, but not after reading these posts by negative Nancy's on volnation!"

Maybe not look at ole miss hear 2 in a system and one solid class. And I like butch more than Hugh to be successful

i'm with you led,it is going to take longer than a lot of fans think and hopefully they will keep the negativity down so it doesn't affect recruiting

Never before have I seen such gnashing of teeth following a win. LOL! At least the team and coaches held it together for the W.

Freak started VN.
Without VN the potential recruits couldn't read the negative posts

Its all Freaks fault.

Fans that quit filling the stands in 2008 was thinking instant national championship like Alabama and Auburn. That has not happen so the meltdown will continue. It is what it is until the pressure gets butch fired to and the cycle will continue.

No reasonable fan would have expected wins at OR or at FL but hanging on for dear life against a team that just started their program when we started our downward spiral, in our own stadium should give any fan cause for concern.

Okay, just name me the last time a coach got 3-5 years to turn around a major program.

It doesn't happen anymore. You have to turn things around quicker than that. That's the job. That's why it pays so well.

Name me any other major program whose fans would be happy after nearly getting beat by S. Alabama.

Stop trying to blame the fans for the coach's failures. We had as many in that stadium today as any 2-2 program. He's had plenty of support. No one expects a championship this year, but it's time to put out a better product.
