I was on a business trip in 2007, 3 days after we had just beaten KY in Lexington 52-50 in 4 overtimes. We were on our way back to the SEC Title game ( Atlanta, some place KY will NEVER get to go ). Anyway, a co-worker and I had to work in Frankfurt, Ky.

Of course being the jerk that I am, I made every attempt to rub it in Kentucky fans' faces. My friend and I went to this little bar in downtown Frankfurt named 'The Dragon'. We walk in wearing UT hats and jackets, starring us down right when walked in were about 40 people wearing Wildcat Blue.

It turns out that 'The dragon' was doing Karaoke that night, so after several shots, my friend and I got up on stage and sang ROCKY TOP. My ballz are the size of grapefruits.

Half expecting to get into a fight, we were stunned when the ENTIRE bar sang along with us. That's how pathetic the UK football program is, they actually have fans that know ALL the words to our fight song, and not only that, they actually will sing along with two drunks 3 days after getting beat.

It sounds like they were gracious host. I don’t understand the need to mock them for that.

Well, I have to admit that's brave. I wouldn't even go into a bar called the dragon in Monroe County TN (sure to be stabbing, gunfight, or major beat down on a typical saturday night). Them knowing the words to Rocky Top is not a big deal. The Osborne brothers were born in Kentucky and bluegrass is, well, a Kentucky invention.

I got away with the same ting in 98 while visiting my inlaws in Little Rock the weekend after the AR game. Even got some crowd participation.:)

They're from the Bluegrass State, and Rocky Top is one of the best bluegrass songs ever written. I could understand it. I mean, people in Knoxville sing along to Sweet Home Alabama a good bit... albeit with slightly modified lyrics. :)

It's a beautiful song no doubt, but lets say Ky had beaten us (insert hysterical laugh here) and two of their fans showed up at Ray's ESG, did a couple lines they scored from the owner:pimp_2:, and proceeded to jump on the bar and sing UK's fight song.

First of all, I would have no idea what the Wildcat fight song is, but secondly they wouldn't make it out of there alive, am I right?
