This Could Put A Crimp In USC Recruiting!

.... I remember people cracking on Manning too when he was at Florida because he had happy feet and he couldn't beat Florida. Now the guy's one of the best quarterbacks ever in the NFL. So seriously, if you are going to knock Ainge... I want to hear a response based on fact..... .

Fact: Peyton Manning drafted #1
Fact: Erik Ainge drafted #162

Fact: PM was a starter from week 1
Fact: EA is 3rd string and behind a rookie

i still like Ainge and think he can be a solid starter in the NFL. i'd love for the Titans to trade for him to have him be Kerry's eventual replacement.

Do we really want to be associated with a blog named for the Iron Sheik's finishing move?

why not? he brought that annoying bob backlund title reign to an end. backlund should have never been champion to begin with, as superstar billy graham had his foot on the ropes when backlund "pinned him". i'm sorry. i got a little off topic. i think that ainge has done well.

Get rid of Vince Young and replace him with Erik Ainge? :eek:lol:

If Vince can't play with a straightjacket, what makes you think Ainge can? Both of those guys are headcases...

Umm... well that's a stretch... but that doesn't negate his performance which was better on average than either of the other two's performance. He hasn't had the PT... but when he is in... he produces and is good and beats the defense.

3rd string defenses.:whistling:

Fact, Peyton Manning worked 100% had Archie as his father coaching him along with the staff. Fact, Ainge did not have the same coordinator the entire time. He also was injured much of the time. I'm not saying that he is Peyton at this point. That's my point. But still... fact, when he came in off sheer talent he broke Petyon Manning's record.

Fact EA played better than the other two in front of him.

Look, Ainge is a decent player, but the fact remains that he's doing this in PRE-SEASON against 3rd teamers. If he were to go against the Steelers, Ravens, Patriots 1st teamers, the results would be unwatchable.

You thought he had happy feet in college? Wait until Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are coming at him.

While Sanchez and Clemmens are getting their game ready against the 1st team defenses. This is why Ainge looks so good. Period.

He looked decent in last nightÂ’s glorified scrimmage. I hope he has an opportunity to play during the regular season. I am not sold on Sanchez and I am very interested in seeing how he would do.

He probably wouldn't remember a thing after it happened...

I don't agree with Ainge coming here! I never said that! But I'm more interested in the fact that USC quarterbacks aren't doing well in the NFL due to lack of PT in College (per this article of course and I agree). And looks like I am dead wrong about Kiffin's involvement of the three recent quarterbacks in the NFL from USC. So, with that said, it still is proving to be an issue that these players aren't seeing much time and are going to the NFL almost. Right now, I think a player who has the potential to be great would want to realize this and may give UT more consideration in consideration to this consideration... HA! Ya follow? It's hard though, as a program, you would love to have that issue. But still, I think the way to one up USC is first to get there, but then to maintain a program that ensures PERFORMANCE beyond the College level. I wonder if Tee Martin is a similar case. He was good enough to win a NT... but take our team to two BCS games, but he only had two years. I think Tee also broke the record for consecutive passes against South Carolina his first year. Yet, he didn't do too much in the NFL.

Hey guys,

Thanks for linking out to my blog. I am now an official Vols fan lol.

For the record, I don't know if he is necessarily ready but I think he is more ready than Clemens or Sanchez.
