I really do like this board of posters. Most of you seem to have a good understanding of the game. Having had season tickets since 1981 I was in at the good times as well as the bad. With what I have seen with the new staff I am starting to get my
hopes up for this program. Last week, even tho we lost by a big score, was the first time I have seen this team suck it up and play with a lot of heart, especially the defensive front. I am hoping to see the same effort in the next three games, especially. I am a realist and expect that we are going to get beat in the next two games. I don't think that we are going to get our asses handed to us like the games in which we lost this year because our kids seem to have a new passion for the game. If that is so than I have real hopes for the future of tis program.

Auburn could be a good game depending on which of the 2 teams show up. I believe we are capable of beating them but if the guys on the field dont think that then it doesnt matter. Bama will be an ugly game IMO just because they always play full on and dont play down to competition like some teams

Agree with everyone else so far, Auburn probably isn't a W but it should be a good competitive game as long as we don't have the turnovers and stupid penalties. Bama will be ugly but that's going to be most Bama games this season.

This board has come a long way indeed.

5 years ago we would have all collectively talked ourselves into beating bama in a few weeks and don't anyone tell me otherwise!

Freak and this board set's the bar extremely high when it comes to other boards.

As far as the next few games...I really really REALLY want us to curb stomp those chickens. Nothing against the school...I just despise their coach.

GBO!!!

We shouldn't get whipped by Auburn unless there are a lot of turnovers. Alabama will probably whip us no matter...they are probably going to whip everyone as long as Tua stays healthy.
How do you calculate that? Auburn has probably the best defense in the SE and we have ome of the 2-3 least productive offenses in the SEC. How does that related to out come he game riding on turn overs? Plus, we are playing Auburn on the road. Do we have a chance to win? Yes we have a chance, but the odds are not very good of beating Auburn or Alabama. The odds increase against the rest of the schedule, but Kentucky is riding high at the present time. Things can change, but we have better chances to beating USC and Kentucky as the season progresses if we are not physically beaten to a pulp by Auburn and alabama.

Did you actually read my post? I said nothing about winning. I simply said that we shouldn't get whipped unless there's a lot of turnovers. It can be a competitive game.

There was one fella though that went as far as saying the Vols threw a scare into Georgia and that at one point the Vols were in position to win....no lie

I realize Taylor got to the QB and caused a couple of fumbles but the Dline gave up 5 yards per carry when Georgia rushed the ball. What specifically did you see from the defensive front that makes you excited?

We should be able to keep the auburn game close. If we have a chance at stealing an sec game it will.be here, but then again we said that against florida.
Alabama is going to kill us.

This board is great. Many don’t have a clue, many have their favorites and many truly get it. I am stuck somewhere between all three but, I am a realist. Georgia used this game as a measuring pole to find out just where Fromm was at. They gave him every opportunity to beat the hell out of us. If he had made better throws we would have givin up at least two more tds in the first half. In the second half when we would score and they put Fields in and scored at will. They are at a different level this year but we did show great fight. I was almost to a point that I thought these young men had given up. They proved me wrong by how hard they fought. Hopefully We keep fighting.

Auburn has superior talent and an established coach. It will likely be another loss. JP does have a good record against Auburn, they kicked his tail last year, and he had Bama’s talent at his disposal.
