We were saying the same thing last year after an open date, too. How did that turn out? When you go against one of those QBs who can run the ball like Green all bets are off. It's our kryptonite. Nico didn't really beat PSU with his arm. It was his running that killed PSU. Just glad we get 'em at home. One would think the Heupel stinker rule wouldn't apply in Knoxville, right?

After an open date with a road trip to Bama up next? We lose this then turn around and beat bama there only to play the woulda, coulda, shoulda deal like we did with SCjr in '22. Trap game vibe is very strong in this one.

Idk. Defense had six sacks and a couple of scores a week ago. Offense and special teams put them in bad situations multiple times. McCoy gets back and Hood is opposite him it’s going to allow more to be done scheme wise. We’ve got some young safeties and a true freshman corner so it’s probably been challenging to scheme around some of that inexperience. Lber also we need a bit more speed imo there; Spillman should be starting with Carter.

I said at the beginning of the year this team was going to be much better by the middle and end of the year than at the start, I stand beside that.
