How do you guys see this one going? I think if we play like we have been, it is going to be a long day for my Crimson Tide. I am absolutely disgusted that this game is on Lincoln Financial. My how the times have changed. Good luck this Saturday Vols, I expect nothing less than a slugfest.:hi:

It is truely a travesty that UK vs UF seems to be more of a marquee matchup that UT vs UA. I personally never thought I would see this day and I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way.

If the Vols that have played the last 2 games show up, I think the vols get the W. If the Vols that played the first 4 games show up, I'm afraid they could lose by double digits. Who knows which team will show up Saturday?

Although, I will say the Vols have seemed to improve each week the past 2 now. Hopefully that is a trend that continues this week.

Go Vols!

Agreed.....as always it will be a physical hardhitting football game, just as it should be.

So, how has the viewing strategy been impacted? Talk to me.

with Tennessee and Alabama these days, you cannot tell how it's going to unfold because both teams seem to be so inconsistent on a very consistent basis.

Oh crap, now how am I gonna see the game? Does dish carry Lincoln Financial or is it PPV? We all need to call/email CBS and raise the roof about this game not being televised. If we did and all the bammers did, just maybe we'd get somewhere with it. Just a thought and maybe wishful thinking, but what could it hurt? I just realized this is in the wrong post...need some more coffee...

I have to work half a day Saturday, I was expecting a minimum of a 2:30 start. I am going to have to pull some serious strings to be off in time to not miss kickoff now. Very doubtful I have a party now. I will let you know something by mid week.:eek:hmy:

I think it's pretty evenly matched except at QB. Ainge compared to JPW is no contest and will be the difference. 31-14 Vols.

It's been an ugly fest for the last several years. Both teams are showing mediocrity from an SEC perspective. I think it's a pick'em at this point.

Tennessee will be the best offensely balanced team Bama has seen so far. Still, I'd say it's a pick'em.

i predict it will be a more enjoyable game then the 2005 contest. quite possibly the worst football game i have witnessed.

I think that was the ugliest game in any sport in the history of Western Civilisation... except for the possible exception of Maximus vs. Tigris of Gaul.

let's get started of right and in a positive direction.....their defense will be tough thru the early mid 2nd quarter and their O couldn't score in a "cat house" with $100 bill taped to their forehead.....so, "Time to goto work".....take care of business.......GO VOLS!!!!:)

Lincoln Financial games are usually carried on one of the channels in your local package on dish. You should be able to get the game.

Bama's running game is pretty good and could give our defense trouble. JPW is serviceable and is better than the yahoo we played in Starkville Saturday. there's talent at WR, and the defense is probably a bit off for Bama's standards.

Our offense is playing better. the running game has decided to assert itself and the O line is protecting EA like no other.

so for us, it's can our defense get it done again when it matters, and our special teams don't cost us, we should have enough offense to win the game.

i think Bama has to controlt he clock, run the ball and keep EA and co. on the bench. get a turnover or two and Bama can definitely win this game.

and being in Tuscaloosa is a big deal this year, despite the early kick, i expect the crowd to play a factor early, and we'll have to deal with that and take momentum away from the Tide.

TN 24 Bama 14 in another not so pretty game for either team.

Throw the stats book out, throw the records out, this one will probably ebd up as ugly as that Auburn/Arkansas game was .

I certainly don't expect a "pretty" game. Of course, a pretty game in my view is an 80 yd TD pass for the Vols on the first play. Tennessee has seemed to play very well this season when motivated. I cannot imagine them not being motivated for this one.

Didn't one of the former Vol coaches say something to the effect that you were not a bona fide Volunteer until you played bama?

This is certainly the game of "whoever wants it the most, wins".

First I must say that I am now happy about the start time. Being a visitor is much better when it is played early.

I also would not be surprised to see us throw deep on the very first play of the game. Remember when PM hit the bomb?
