I will always hate and want a Florida win more, but I recognize that Bama is our biggest traditional rival.

I think this years game will be epic. Of course I will be there, haven't missed one on the Hill since 1984. This game will put two good to great defenses against two offenses that can really move the ball. Should be great.
Of course I will be back the week of the game to talk good football! good luck the next two weeks, beat Georgia and Beat the Hell out of A&M.

Do you think that the truth? Do you think his players really care about the historical rivalry we have? Or is he just saying that to demean Auburn?

I will always be worried about our next game more than any other. That's how we were taught. I hate bammer the worst though. Hell let's beat the pups first.

I agree that the Bama game means more to me than Florida. I can remember as a freshman living in East Stadium in 1982 that the game was everything you have read it be or unbelievable if you lived it. But, the Bama game always was the historical rivalry even before my 4 yrs. As a kid my family was always finding a way to get Bama tickets and I sat through a number of those 11 losses. And I can attest that in my neighborhood growing up with other Auburn families down the street we didn't care about our game with the war eagles, it was Bama!

This could be the year we play them twice..

If it is, I would rather lose the season game..Get revenge in the seccg.

To beat them twice would be fantastic, just dont see it happening..whoever losses the in season game will come back for vengeance in seccg..

Saban is a bit of a traditional guy. I think he means that. I don't know if I have ever heard him take shots at rivals. Not saying he hasn't but I can't think of any right off the top of my head.

I agree I think it is a generational thing. I hate Bama, but I despise Florida. I have a lot of respect for Saban and Bama's history, but Florida is pure classless trash.

Glad to see Saban say that. I don't think he's the type to bs, so it's cool to see the players have us circled.

It must be a generational thing. As I tell my teenaged kids, I hate Florida like a pesky rash, but I hate Alabama like the plague.

Well put.

Bama can wait tho. We got a couple more beat downs to do first. The knuckle draggers can get in line.

I feel the same way. If it wasn't for all of the talking that Spurrier started back in the day, I wouldn't hate em as much. Their s*** talking to this day is a chain reaction from him and that's what annoys the hell outta me the most. They have no class, that's where my hate comes from.

I can remember as a young teenager being in a small Tn cornfield pulling corn by hand and throwing it in the wagon while listening on a radio to an TN/Ala game. Ala came back in the last minutes to win and both my little brother and myself had a complete fit. Throwing corn all to hell and cussing up a storm. Didn't get very much work done that afternoon. had to have been the late 60's or 1970. Always hated Alabama more.

Edit: Just took a look at the series history via Wikipedia and I think it was the 1966 game. I was only 11..
