Nah. Cant root for other teams but I can watch better teams to watch good football. Its like window shopping when you are married. Costs too much financially and emotionally to get divorced but staring at hot chicks is free and relatively safe.

Im not supporting any other team, but i am done with being a vols fan. I already watched far fewer games last season. I thought we would at least improve a bit this year so had the usual get together for the season opener, and we get bullied by a sunbelt team. I literally went outside and removed the power T decals from the back of my vehicles. Im not wearing vols gear anymore, not attending or watching anymore. I will just keep up on volnation.

I started trying what you advocate during the time reality started sinking in in the middle of the 3rd qtr. yesterday. I have always watch football played by other interesting match ups. But just can't get that interested as I use to. Until the Auburn comeback last night ( I'm one of the SEC first guys) I could not get interested. I fear I won't ever be a the "real" football fan I have been in the past. Have started think of other things I can do in the fall of the year. (and the late fall of my life) Time is too short to be "down" anymore over my beloved VOLS......

This is the problem they've got. Alumni will stick, but casual fans will find something better to do. They've just been too bad for too long.

Indeed. I would think a team would come to you rather than you just rooting for a random team. I can't think of any SEC team I could root for really though.
I think what is happening here is we are all innocent casualties of war. Bama cleared Pruitt to come here to sabatoge after noticing he was offered. They want all Vols fans to defect and join Bama fans. We would be the inferior Bama fans being from TN. That is their plan to gain passionate fandom away from the Vols to Bama.
