Think this starting 5 can press and score?

I want Q back

If we can't fill his spot with someone the staff feels has a higher upside I agree, but I think they can.

With Punter looking likely to be a Vol that leaves 3 spots left if we are keeping Q. Add Suarez who it appears Tyndall is banking on, and Chiles who's scheduled to visit this week and all of a sudden you're down to 1 scholarship left. With guys like McKnight, Cofer, Owens, Ellis and Carmichael all still out there.

I don't follow recruiting as close but the day they all asked for their release, did people think we'd be in that good of a situation? I had no idea and want to see how it ends up but you follow this end closely and that seems to put us in a really good situation considering the position we were in and the style that DT is bringing. We aren't going to be slow at any position

PG= Thompson
SG= Hubbs
SF= Richardson
PF= Davis
C= McGhee

This is an athletic lineup that can run the floor and wreak some havoc on defense.

Moore, Reese and Pops come off the bench to provide depth with Chievous's return still up in the air.

GBO!!!!!!!!!

Are you all gonna be upset when UT doesn't play fast and averages around 69-70 a game and plays at the tempo of CCM?

I was worried when all of them asked for a release, yes there's quite a few solid players available, but usually those guys are drawing a lot of attention. So it wasn't necessarily are there even enough quality guys to fill the roster, it was can we land them.

That part is what has yet to be decided, McGhee was a solid pick up but our main competition there was Florida Gulf Coast.

Punter has offers from Missouri and SMU, and had schools like Cincinnati trying to get him to visit.

Cofer obviously was committed to Tennessee but now has offers from Virginia Tech, FSU, Memphis etc.

Ian Chiles has visited auburn, will visit Tennessee and also Maryland.

Octavius Ellis was committed to Arizona State, grades are scaring some schools away but if he qualifies he will get a lot of attention.

Owens was committed to Ohio but has visits to Temple and Maryland lined up as well as multiple other schools calling.

Shelton Mitchell was committed to Wake Forest but is now hearing from Cal, Vandy, Oregon and Tennessee to name a few.

So basically Tyndall is having to recruit these guys against multiple other high majors, so that's where the worry came in from me. I didn't find it likely he would would all, or even most of those battles, but if he does that's a great sign going forward IMO.

I keep wondering about this. People seem to think press= helter skelter pace when not all presses do that. Florida pressed a bunch last year but it wasn't to speed people up; it was to slow them down. Florida pressed a bunch and still had a sub 300 tempo.

Get out of the book and watch the game. I don't care about a tempo stat if we are stealing and dunking the ball off of pressing, and I don't care about a tempo stat part 2.when we are forcing teams to use a lot of shot clock as they beat the press and back it out to try and beat our matchup zone.
If UT forces late shot clock shots, which reduces the tempo stat, how do you debate that it means the offense is slow? Because you have no idea what you are talking about.
And it's too nice today so I'm not going to shoot down statisticians all day.
