I tried that with a plastic grocery bag off the back of the couch. Does. Not. Work.

I know I have no room to talk but you really thought that would work. :)

Oh and if your on the trunk of your friend's car and she starts driving down a long gravel driveway, you can't jump off, start running in the air and keep going when you hit the ground. That only works in cartoons.

There was the bunk bed incident. I had the top bunk, my little brother had the bottom bunk and he'd grab my blanket, that would prompt a tug of war over the blanket, after about 10 minutes I went to yank the blanket with everything I had and he let go right before I pulled. I fell off the top bunk flat on my ass in about a 4rth of a second.

We had a deck that was 12' off the ground. I thought if I held a sheet by all for corners it would open like a parachute. That doesn't work.

We jumped off the roof with Beach towels and tried that. And you're right, it definitely does not work!

Speaking of bunk beds...

When I was 5, my sisters & I thought it would be fun to jump off the top bunk onto a bean bag.... It was fun for about 2 minutes until I jumped off & got scalped by the ceiling fan that no one thought to turn off...

I have a perfect Nike check scar on top of my head.

So im in the mood to share a tl;dr story so here it goes.
I grew up the first 8 years living with my grandmother in a neighborhood in Chattanooga and my best friend and I were the only kids around the same age that resided there. We were constantly outside either on our bikes but the game that always was serious business was wiffle ball.
So this was a game of one on one and played with a wiffle ball that was taped up and put holes in to give it wicked movement. The backyard of his grandmothers was the field, about 100 yards to the outfield fence and a piece of plywood behind home plate propped against a tree with a square spray painted on to mark the strike zone.

The rules were just like regular baseball, obviously if you caught a pop fly they were out, but a live ball you had a choice, pick it up and try to chuck it at them, if you hit them and they weren't past first base or on a base they were out, if it dosent hit them it's still a live ball and they can still continue to run the bases until you retrieve the ball , then of course you could just hold on to it and then they would call a "ghost runner" which would stay at that base and he would go back up to bat.

It was alot of fun, every year we would make renovations to the field, we kept raising the pitchers mound, even got a old pitchers rubber from a Lookouts game after one of their renovations, then we chipped in and bought a bunch of floodlights and had our first night game. My son will learn the ways of wiffle ball one day..

Great story!!! When I was a kid we played something similar when we didn't have enough players to field a whole team!! Brings back some fun memories!!!

I was about 8 or 9 on the morning I learned about the awful bite electricity has. I was making toast in the toaster and it started smoking.

I had no idea how to get the toast out. I came up with a brilliant idea, a butter knife. I stuck the butter knife inside and pow!

I remember seeing a bright purple/blue flash. My mom found me lying up against the wall across the kitchen from the toaster. I guess it knocked me a good 8 or 10 feet.

I remember waking up to my mom yelling, "Dave wake up!" My right arm was all tingly. I don't think it was a Chris Matthews tingly.

I had a bunk bed incident as well. I was on the top bunk and was hanging off talking to my brother on the bottom when he thought it would be a good idea to put his feet under my mattress and push up. Of course it catapulted me into the air and I landed flat on my back on the floor knocking the air out of me. Lucky for him because I would've got up and pulverized him otherwise. :p

I too had a bunkbed incident! Of course I always slept on the top bunk! I was about 5-6 yrs old. I had a double boarded guardrail up to keep me from falling off! Well it was in the middle of the night when my Dad was woken up by a real loud thump from across the house! He got up and began to look around for the mysterious noise! He got to my room and found my lying on the hardwood floor! I had kicked the guardrail with enough force to break it in to two! I then fell off the top bunk onto the floor! Never batted an eye!!

Man those were the days, wish I could still sleep like that!!!
