I'm visiting Charlotte on some business, does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants, nightlife places, other attractions? Thanks.

There's a street near down town called South something I think (maybe South Street) that has several bars that are decent.

Edit: It's South Blvd that I'm thinking of - there's a place called Vinnies Raw Bar or something like that and it was fun. I think they have a Flying Saucer too and that's always good for good beers and beer goddesses. I know there is one north near UNCC. Might be one downtown too.

Plenty of streets around here with that name :p.

To the op: there is plenty off of tryon and college streets in uptown. Epicenter is becoming popular with bars, including a piano bar, bowling sports bar, etc. Black Finn is there which has some good food, bbq pork nachos are yummy!

Just south of uptown on south blvd, is ice house, which is a neat place, sports bar that has live music often.

Different areas:
South park: ritsy area but they have taco mac, 140 beers on tap. Also a cool restaurant next to it that has good breakfast - red velvet Waffles or smores French toast!
University: college area of course
Huntersville: nice area, if you are in that area, I suggest red rocks (another location in south park), locally owned with great food, its located in birkdale village which is nice to walk around in the evenings.

Go to the Epicenter. It's in downtown (not too far from BOA Stadium), and it's got everything you'd want for a night-out. Restaurants, bars, shopping and even bowling. Whiskey River is the name of Earnhardt Jr.'s bar. Panthers are in town this week, so there's a chance you could even see some of those guys out tonight. Apparently Jonathan Stewart hands down there a lot, and is always super friendly to fans.
