What are your favorite things to do before a night game in Knoxville?

I've been to plenty of games, but always have driven in for a day game then left pretty soon after the game. I'm looking for some suggestions.

Drinking is obvious so for most people so no need to mention it. If someone drinks they'll drink if they dont they dont.

Me and my dad will eat at the copper celler then try to go to the vol walk or if lucky vise verse. Be sure to be in the staduim early everything will probly start early so there's time for the seniors to walk through the T.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Hey Tia,

I'm assuming you want a real answer to your question and not the adolescent responses thus far. I've left my college days far behind, so here are a few ideas from 'the older generation.'

Market Square & Gay St offer some great restaurants and atmospheres. The Downtown Grill & Brewery offers great snack food, pool tables, and a decent collection of beers. I've never had a bad meal at Café 4, and The Half Barrel has some great burgers as well as a nice collection of bourbons & a handful of scotch/whiskey offerings. There's The Preservation Pub, and around the corner from Market Square there's a quaint coffee shop. Heck, there's even a Gelato shop on Gay St if you want some ice cream in Nov.

With this being a late game, I think you'd have time to hit that area and still make it to the Vol Walk and Band March.

Best of luck.

beer pong, corn hole, drink lots of bourbon (makers or woodford) and pound down lots of beer while knocking down some burgers and hot dogs at the tailgate party

How are they on open container? Could I carry beer in a coozy and be ok?
Walking around outside the stadium and all around campus tailgating with a red solo cup is the safest plan of action. Most cops will look the other way with a coozie but you run the risk of being confronted by the newest Wyatt Earp of Knoxville's finest.
