Chardonnay is meh, but Riesling? Only thing more womanly is white zin, and that's just because of the fact it's more common. Riesling is pretty much the sweetest wine ever invented.

I ran a country inn in Upstate New York and I hired a professional sommelier to teach our staff about proper wine etiquette and the like. He was also a an apprentice vintner and he taught me that the best American Reislings are from the Finger Lakes region of New York. I tried to keep abreast of the tastes of the rich folks who came into the inn. In the process, I developed a taste for Reisling.

Bet you weren't expecting that.
