Corey Benjamin Zickefoose, 19, Belfast Street, Maryville, was arrested by Maryville police on Jan. 23 on the charges of resisting arrest and public intoxication. When police came to his residence, Zickefoose allegedly jumped out of a window and fled on foot. Officers asked him to stop and show his hands, but he continued to flee, according to a Maryville Police Department report. Police pursued him to Dunlap Street and took him into custody there. He was released on $1,275 in bonds pending 9 a.m. Jan. 27 hearings in Blount County General Sessions Court.

Just sayin...

If he was released on 1,275$ bond and had to get a lawyer to get him out of all that shi* then it would make sense why he had an empty wallet when Richardson and Edwards pulled the Pahokee package on him.

I was at the Pilot at 2:00am many times during my undergraduate days. Sometimes after drinking a few pitchers in the Tap Room, sometimes after a long night of cramming for an exam. The Pilot used to sell 4 chili dogs for a dollar (no lie). This was back in the eighties. I was an engineering major and about as non-threatening as they come. So being at the Pilot at 2:00am is no sign of wrongdoing. But...

If there is no additional corroborating evidence such as third party witnesses or store surveillance tapes, and if these kids get a good lawyer, then this case will boil down to "he said, she said." Courts are overburdened, first serious offense, so this should get plea bargained. You can be certain the "resisting arrest" record will come up. Just saying... these three guys may not be your typical sophomore engineering nerds out late getting a chili dog after studying for that calculus mid-term. I didn't have any friends that had run from the cops and was out on bail.

Don't get me wrong - Edwards and Richardson should be gone if they did this. But let the truth come out.

If it was a drug deal would either of the parties involved dial 911? I just don't see it.
