1. Players being beat in the secondary and over the middle is a lack of talent and speed. However, being out of position time and time again is coaching and seven games in is unacceptable
2. On a critical third and one and you will have two attempts to make one yard you Attempt a thirty yard pass. You just told the OL who is one of your only bright spots that you do not trust them. Unacceptable in this situation.
3. Taking two time-outs to the locker room at half time while having the ball and a chance to at least get in field goal range is unacceptable in this situation.

I don't mind the deep ball there, obviously we needed big plays to get bama, couldn't put together long drives. I had more of a problem with the 100% predictable "beast formation" that package sucks. Everyone knows a run off tackle to the right is coming. I honestly don't know how iws a success on goalline

I disagree on the assessment of the 3rd and 1. The thinking was they were definitely going for it in 4th down so they actually had a lot of confidence with the OL. Chaney thought he could hit a big play on 3rd down. I am not sure that I agree with the call but I do believe they had faith in running the ball.

The reason I did not like it is this. First like I said we have a good OL at least to get one yard, we were on their end of the field, there was lots of time left in the game, we needed to hold on to the ball make first downs and keep our defense off of the field. By running on third down the defense had to play us honest giving us a better opportunity for a successful run, and once we were in fourth and one UA just loaded the box especially once AJ was in the back field.

orrible play calling, Bray has all the talent in the world and has been mis coached for 3 yrs. Only hope for him to be a starting pro QB is to change coaches and someone turn him into a college qb. Only 1 yr left or all that promise will be wasted.

Agree- not shocking that the best defensive team in the country - is able to stop it when they know who is getting the ball and that he is going to be running between the tackles. Only have to defend a very small area.

Playing a team with the talent of Bama, maybe we do need to have a couple of surprise or trick plays but GUYS 3rd and 1 on their end of the field is not the time for one of those plays! Our O line has improved so much and we, as coaches, should have shown them that we believed in them to block for a running back to get 1 yard especially with 2 downs to do it. Just can't imagine the call for a long pass in that situation! But, he's the head coach and in the end, responsible for such calls and he, in my opinion has mad way too many of those calls during his stay at Tennessee. Lets get Gruden and end all this stupid play calling. Just sayin'.

I don't have a real problem with point #2. I think they had confidence that they could convert on 4th down, so maybe they could catch 'Bama sleeping on 3rd.

Otherwise, spot on. I was yelling at the TV, "TIMEOUT! TIMEOUT!" after one of the plays when there was still :45 or so remaining in the half. Even my two-year-old daughter was chiming in with me.
