You can quit the drama. UT will not fall into a hole we cannot get out of. I am not saying Dooley is the right man for the job, and I'm not saying he isn't. But a few things are for certain - Dooley has brought stability to the program. His recruiting has been damn good considering all that he's been up against. He has dismissed bad apples and upgraded the apples he has. In short, this fanbase has called him an ******* - yes on this forum. How many other names he has been called, you go count them. In my opinion, this fanbase is an ungrateful clot of fickle snots that demand win at all cost's. Let me ask you this - If you were a member of the 2012 team, and felt the HC was doing a good job, how would you feel playing in front of the classless clot?
He gets paid millions a year to win games. How dare you suggest that people are ungrateful for expecting him to do his job. Some people on this board save all year to go to one game. He owes it to them to do his f'in jab and put a decent product on the field. Nobody here owes him ****.
Get over yourself.
I sincerely hope that there is no one on the field or the sideline that feels like anyone is doing a good job.
I've seen more inexplicable and embarrassing things in the past 3 years than I have ever seen on a football field.
You cant call the fans fickle when the program hasnt beaten a single decent team in years.
Umm,,number one,,it's been two and a 1/2 seasons of play. Not three years. Number two, last year we carried the toughest schedule in DIV 1 football - with the youngest squad in DIV 1 football. Yes, you will see mistakes. Number 3 - up until the 'bama game, Dooleys team was 5-6 plays away from being undefeated. Never mind,,,,,continue to hate on the coach and team.
Koach.. I normally agree with you, but I have to disagree on this one.....
The bold part is the issue...
It is due to bad coaching.... We have been lucky to even be in some of those games with a chance to win and the coaches still screwed it up...
He can only blame youth, bad breaks, talent level and the players for so long...
At some point he has to man up realize the coaching is the issue...
He didn't lose so many coaches during the off season by accident...
He said it best himself "You aren't going to have Tennessee to kick around anymore".. We are lucky to have any teeth left we have been kicked around so much....:hi:
IMHO DD's signature will be worth more then Grudens when it's all said and done. Least I hope so anyway. Go ahead blast awayhmy:
How at this point anyone can't see that Dooley is in over his head is beyond me. Giving him more time will accomplish nothing more than being buried into a hole we may never get out of. Believe in him all that you want but the fact is he cannot coach. I understand supporting him because he is the coach of our team but there comes a time where you just have to face reality and realize he is what he is. That is not a head coach that belongs at Tennessee.

You are a seasoned poster on VN. Due respect givin. We however differ in perspective. To me we are exactly where everyone thought we would be. We Played what can be the top of the SEC better then most. We didn't win. No one expected us too. Get the Defense on track and we are a force to be reconed with. Change right now would put us back too far. I dont buy the instant result scenario of change right now and believe it to be totally unrealistic. Give 2013 a chance to play out. This was and has been the original plan all along!!!

Dooley suffers from the Buzz Peterson Syndrome. Remember how much "bad luck" Buzz had? Remember how Buzz never could pull out a close win, despite his pleasant personality?
DD is much the same. He goes into halftime with a manageable game on his hands and cannot pull out a win. I believe the stat is that DD has never won a game when tied or losing at half. I understand our depth issue....but you can't defend NEVER.
Bruce Pearl came in and instantly flipped the winning switch. We need someone to come in and do that to our football program (minus the infractions).
If you believe theres an instant switch then you believe in the Smurphs...clueless you are...
Apparently you don't believe in spell check.
Regardless of your less than insightful post, I dare say a good coach may have won the Florida, Georgia, and MSU games this year. Switch flipped. It may take a while to build a sound program, but a good coach can turn some losses into wins where a bad coach wouldn't, and in short order.
Don't worry, that 9 pounds between your ears can be used for more than an earwax maker.
Of course, facts and reason wouldn't appeal to you.
Sure, no one clicks the clique button for me that must mean everything I say is wrong. Way to dodge the argument.
I'm sure everyone agrees with your logic that our record would be the same if a Gruden or Saban had the same team at this point in the year. :loco:
You make NO SENSE!!! 570 posts and no likes... doesnt that tell you something?? Your lacking in mental initiative. YOU MAKE NO SENSE!!! Your bringing a knife to a gunfight...Your elevator doesnt go up. You have no point... Nuff said, good bye<
