You sure can tell it's the off season... Yes the game was not that good but what the HELL !!!!! Did we think we were gonna play like we were playing Florida???? I went to the game and it was crazy cold yesterday and windy really bad.... Everybody needs to chill.... And realize that we will be one of the youngest teams in football this year... What ever happened to just being a VOL fan win or lose, good
or bad????

The Milton thread was pathetic.I think its pretty sad that someone starts a thread about Milton and not having an ideal if its true or not.Just someone trying to act they are in the know and breaking news about someone that they have no facts to back up there claim.

I've learned the Knox County 24 Hour Arrest List is no place to find a decent avatar.

But you have to give the mods here credit for getting rid of it. That's what keeps Volnation primo in my opinion.

The Milton thread had its moments but it did need to go.

I'm not to worried about the spring game. It was just a open practice....not the time to show our full hand.

Dooley has the team headed in the right direction.

Tyler Bray is mediocre at best.

Am I missing anything else?

I think you missed the part where no one seriously advocated benching Bray for Simms and a contingent of Volnation, yourself included, went off on those who are sane and sober about where he is. Bray is an average qb right now, with the potential to be special. Bring on the hate. Better to be right than popular. We all want to believe in Bray, but seeing will be believing for me in 2012, probably not 2011.

Bray isn't an average QB. He may be a massive bust or a great success but he isn't "average". His God given talent precludes "average".

It is better to be right than popular... but much worse to be neither.

Bray had a bad scrimmage... that isn't nearly as embarrassing as some of the hysterics we've seen from fans here.

He threw some awful passes for some reason. He also had several passes dropped. He had a few occasions where either he or the receiver didn't know the pattern or else didn't make the right read.

There's alot that goes into a passing game. Many times a QB can look terrible because other guys screw up too much in ways that aren't as obvious. Sometimes receivers bail QB's out.

I remember having similar arguments when people were clamouring for Crompton to be replaced early in the season. He wasn't great but the guys around him weren't either so it made him look worse than he actually was. Same deal applies to TB last Saturday.
