Things I'm mad about today

@VolNExile @hmanvolfan school busing started in Memphis in 1973. I was supposed to start 9th grade that year at Richland Jr High, a city public school. I started 9th grade at Harding Academy, a private school instead. Only lasted 9 weeks there then we moved to the county & I finished 9th grade at Germantown.

We're ya'll or anyone else effected by busing?

I went to Kindergarten at Oakhaven, in double wide trailers by the way. In ‘73 I don’t remember the school I was going to be bussed to for 1st grade, but it was far away.

I spent the next 12 years at Harding Academy. 1st through 6th at one of the satellite elementary schools and 7th through 12th at Cherry Road.

Other than when Daddy was in Korea when I was 2 and 3, I didn’t live in Memphis as a kid. Just visited. He retired back to Memphis in ‘73 or ‘74, and by then I was in college.

Seriously, why do you like temps in the 90s. I don’t understand.

I think 80 is too hot.
First, I'm weird. Second, remember how in the Christopher reeves superman he would get his strength back in the sun? That's me🤣. I hate cold weather, but feel invincible in the heat. The hotter it is, the better I feel. Which circles back to point number one!
