Things I'm mad about today

Two parter:

I'm mad that I'm old. I'm greatly aware of this because of the second part of this story.


I fell yesterday. Literally. I was walking out of the Verizon store in Bellevue and somehow caught my heel on the sidewalk. DOWN.GOES.WYLO. straight down. Landing on my knees, lurched forward and caught myself with my hands. I had asphalt marks on both knees of my jeans and road burn on both palms. I'm mad because I'm so damn sore today.

Old age angers me.

I had that happen a couple months ago. Went to my truck to get something and when I went to step up onto the sidewalk of the strip mall I didn't step high enough. Fell straight forward and landed on my hands prostrate to the ground. Interestingly enough an older middle eastern man was outside the store next door smoking and rushed over to help me get up. But at least I had been taking a buncha chemo drugs prior to that. :p

Tonight at Church we sang Victory in Jesus. I looked at the bottom of the page to see who wrote it. His name is Eugene Bartlett, according to this Hymnal. I was going to use it in the song thread, but guess what? Yea Joe, I'm mad at you!

If it was a several months to a year or so ago, yes I saw it and posted in it. I was envolved in a conversation with a guy, forget his name, that was gay and upset that him and his partner couldn't get married and he was atheist that used to be Christian. I never got combative, just didn't understand and honestly tried to. Never did, still don't and even more confused.

It was a good read with a lot of back and forth. Don't know why it got nuked, tho.

I posted some, then someone started the name calling because I was a believer. I'll talk religion with anyone all day, but not in anger. I work with atheists, Buddhist, JW, we even had a muslim at one time. We talk all the time without name calling, that stuff is for football season!

The one I'm speaking of was over a year, maybe longer, ago.
