Banks. I liked that reception/run on the quick pass from Gitmo. He has the kind of size CJP was looking for in a RB. Of course, Jordan and Chandler need their reps first, but I would like to see Banks get a few more carries this week to get him in the mix. Tillman is a WR I'd like to see get some more receptions.

I would like to see some longer passes and less of the quick sideline throws to WRs. None of them have the kind of breakaway speed that can turn those into big gainers like in previous years. Just can't do it. Maybe see if Elion Gonzalez, the speedster track dude can slip past people on a long route. On the OL, I figure Friend/Pruitt will continue switching up the rotation looking for the right mix. But I sure hope they finally settle on something before the sec stretch begins and it's the right brew.

I'd like to see them find the defensive front 7 who really want to be out there making plays. Without naming names, either we have some that can't ever fight off blocks and be in position to make a tackle or they just don't like tackling and don't do it very well. Run to the action and the ball. Get there. Get some.

You cannot build an elite team playing chumps. Does not matter. So what if we look good against a chump. Means nothing.

No, and I don't think anyone likes beating up on cupcakes just to show them up. That's not what we're talking about here. I think you use weeks and games like this to give more reps to guys the coaches want to see without having to throw them into a Florida or Auburn game without a single rep of experience. Besides that, we haven't won a game since the first of Nov last year, so it's not going to hurt anyone's feelings to win a game for a change. Lots of good things to accomplish like establishing rhythm, timing, and a bit of badly needed confidence. You see all the power conference teams scheduling games like this to lessen the grind of a 12 game season. Then, too, don't you think ETSU wants a game like this for their program? You bet they do. From revenue and exposure, Randy Sanders is grateful for this game for his team.

I’d like to see players that get positive press from practice reports actually do something in a game. Latrell Williams? Jordan Murphy?

Gitmo?
I think Gitno is a more fitting appellation for our starting QB.
Mostly because I hope he doesn't Gitno sacks.
Ain't no Ms in his name anyway.

Word. w/all the small guys we have surely someone is quicker than Warrior besides W.Va. Guess Chandler would have been the guy if had not gotten hurt?

I want to see our starters on the sidelines after the second quarter leaving a substantial lead for the second string to take over in the second half. This needs to be a confidence boost and depth building game. There is no excuse for UT to have any trouble with ETSU whatsoever. ETSU lost to Western Carolina by 39 points last year.

A secondary...and ETSU's doesn't count

Kongo get real mad and finally play some Fooseball

Guarantano continue to improve (Game one was a great start)

Jennings and Calloway combine for 750 yds receiving.

Banks roll out for 150+ on the ground

I would like to see:
1. Fighting off blockers by our defense.
2. Better technique from our DBs.
3. Better communication in our O line.
4. Improved blocking by our TEs.
5. A team prepared, focused, and intense.

Meh, if UT doesn't completely destroy ETSU and UTEP, it would be a shocker.

Biggest thing is that it gives us two glorified scrimmages to get communication issues on the O-line fixed. I don't think our defense is going to learn all that much to be honest. They see better players in practice every day.

And yes, even though UTEP is an FBS team, they are very very bad; there are numerous FCS teams that are better. If we struggle against UTEP like we did against UMass last season, that would be a very bad sign.

They better break the 70 point barrier and keep them in single digits.

Realistically, these next two games should be the worst opponents UT has played in recent years. Anything less than a** kicking (doesn't have to be total annihilation since I don't see us running up the score) would be a disappointment.

ETSU is a restarted up program that needed almost the full first half to score its first points and tie the game against Division 2 Mars Hill and needed two fourth quarter touchdowns to pull away last week to win 28-7. They have also never played an FBS team since restarting the football program.

UTEP is likely the worst team at the FBS level, lost by 20! to FCS Northern Arizona last week. Also ranked 119 in Total Defense and dead last in total offense last year.

Hilarious thread...Pruitt is not Butch! He is not going to troll through your wishlist all week long.
He is a real coach..he knows what he is doing....he isnt looking around for reviews and suggestions

Georgia, Florida, Mississippi St., Texas A&M, Missouri, South Carolina all were building their strong teams playing chumps in the first round...now UGA and SC will meet and TAM and Clemson will get together to determine if beating chumps in week one carried over against champs...
