I would go on a weekend boys trip with @McDad before I went to a Buckees
For brief periods of time, I can effect convincing coastal, piedmont, and Appalachian southern accents. If I’m interacting with law enforcement personnel, my wife will let me be. If I’m joking around with friends and relatives, she’ll put her finger on my lips, telling me that I’m eerily too accurate and it’s freaking her out.Yeah, I could not pull off redneck.
St George is very special to me and the wifey. We went there several times after we first got married, was kinda our romantic get away spot. As a youngish couple, it is where we fled to. I remember there was a little hole in the wall breakfast place with fireman related stuff all over the walls, and talking to people there turned out almost everyone there was from Tennessee. They claimed half the island was from Tennessee. I always called Appalichicola my "Mayberry by the Beach". Also used to enjoy eating and just hanging out with the 13 Mile Seafood crew....went to buy seafood there, almost everyday, as we were making our own seafood dinners, in our kitchen.... struck up conversation and they ended up inviting us in the back where they unload from the boats and sharing their smoked grouper throat....best damn fish I have had. They told us Hank Jr and Kid rock stories as we chowed....good fun people. Also love Up the Creek raw bar there, just sitting outside staring over teh inlet and the gators while eating oysters is a zen experience. Iused to liek Boss Oyster too..but Up the creek is now my fav spot. I hope it's all still there and they didn't lose too many of the live Oaks..I just Love St George, and Appalachicola....my favorite part of Florida. Many of my favorite early trips with my son also were in that area.Speaking of…. It looks like my island is getting smashed as we speak
No joke if you like BBQ, and beef jerkey it's a vibe, and those fresh cooked pralines are no joke. I just like to buy all my mugs there. The Buc-ees Yukon stuff is priced dirt treat and is every bit as rugged and long lasting as Stanly and Yeti, I mean it's like tervis prices. Also I find alot of neat unusual Lodge stuff there...and I am a cast iron junkee. It's basically a modern day Stuckey's on steroids I loved those on road trips as a kid. What can I say I love me some working class Americana. ANd having the cleanest restrooms of any chain on earth is a plus. Their restrooms are always emaculate. If and when I get close to a Buc-ees, I'm there!

Only the "worst snobbery" people would speak ill of such a fine and glorious peace of American Capitalism. If and when I get close to a Buc-ees, I'm there!

No doubt about the restrooms. No joke if you like BBQ, and beef jerkey it's a vibe, and those fresh cooked pralines are no joke. I just like to buy all my mugs there.
