#1.Don't run the ball up the middle if you've been stopped for no yards after 5 plays.Don't run it 10/15 times and then realize it doesn't work (Florida game)

#2.I am really concerned about our ability to stop the run this year. That Arkansas game was ugly.

Our wide receivers and d-backs could be the least of our worries this year if we don't improve on this.

Not trying to be negative just realistic.

I hope that one day we can field a great offense and a great defense in the same year.

Chavis figures out how to stop teams on 3rd down.

Letting opposing qb's run at will.

Awful special teams play.

Bad tackling.

Our run defense will be the strength of the team this year. If Wavy Chavy can ever figure out how to stop people on 3rd and long we may have something.

Of course it wont matter how well the defense plays. Foolmer will figger out a way to blow it. Like getting up on Florida then running it up the middle for 0.8 yards a carry.

.8 yards per carry would have been a great improvement over our performance against Florida.

If you want to criticize the coaching staff, you should probably pick a better example than last year's UF game, where they took an undermanned squad and played the national champion to the wire.

Those hurt the most.

Arkansas had arguably the best run blocking line in football last year. They are now in the NFL, so no worries.

I agree 100%.

1) Run defense. This has traditionally been a strength of Tennessee football under Fulmer, but last year it was awful.
2)Offensive Line Play. Once again, traditionally a strength, but was sub-par last year.

I think we will find recievers, and we have the best quarterback in the SEC, but to have the kind of year we all want to see, those are the two areas that worry me the most.

By that logic, our opponents certainly don't have to worry about our wide receivers.

Did you do that investigative work yourself, or just rely on any article written about UT's offense next season?

Also, a good RB needs line blocking alot more than a good QB needs top notch receivers.

Yeah, I was just thinking how well Ainge performed with mediocre receiver play in 2005. Be nice to see that again.

Oh, I forgot. You're the foremost expert on the Arkansas offensive line.

Ok how about when we took a horrible Air Force team down to the wire. :clapping:

Would you have preferred a one point loss?

Yup. What difference did it make? Nada. Just another mediocre season and finishing out of the top 25 for what, the 4th time this decade?

Anything to get that fool out of the head coaching spot I'm all for.

Great. You've just given the Fulmerites the most powerful weapon they could ask for.

Who was the QB coach in 2005? Who was the QB coach in 2006? Who will be the QB coach in 2007?
