Most of Oxford MS is small town roads. If someone there REALLY wanted to put you in a ditch, you're probably going in a ditch unless Lane (a real possibility) is driving a fast, nimble vehicle.

It's not a big town with 6 lane interstates.

As usual with this whole fiasco-that was "Lane being Lane"

I suppose the possibility exists that his own security tried to pit him-entirely possible and understandable I suppose.

It appears there is a clause in the playoff rules that will keep Ole Miss out of the playoffs. If key players or coaches are not available then the committee can exclude that team from the playoffs. I would be pissed.

Agree. Generally if Lane’s lips are moving he’s lying. I’m thinking if he gets fired from Ole Miss, he needs to turn to politics. Would fit right in. He’s been trying to paint himself as a victim and Ole Miss as the bad guy since Sunday.

Given the current national politics in America, skeletons in your closet no longer matter which is good for Lane because he's got a cemetery or two in there.

Then again, he's not getting elected in TN, for sure, nor MS.

Louisiana, however, seems to like Governors who are a little crazy so maybe he's in the right place now.

I think you’re right. All these people that have acted like LSU just needs a competent coach doesn’t understand that this isn’t your daddy’s college football. Portal, NIL, 9 game SEC, playoffs that are seeded, etc.

Add to that, Kiffin has never won ANYTHING of substance in his entire career, let’s just say I’m not sold.

I mean consider that he’s NEVER won a post season game of consequence. He’s essentially being hailed a hero for taking a bad history school (Ole Miss) and making the playoffs. The media would never praise him in this way if he did it at Tennessee (Heupel did!). It’s all about perception.

Oh and the fact that he’s a great quote so ESPN is in love with him.

Marty 2 straws has reportedly removed his sippy straw from the Nick Saban bathtub and put it in Lane’s hot tub.

Kiffin now trying to play the "good guy" and is sending Charlie Weis Jr back to OM to coach in the playoffs

You just can't make this stuff up.

(I would assume young Mr Weiss was in somehow legally exposed per his contract with OM, so Lane really had no choice lol)
