Tiffany has sworn for a month she got shocked loading the dishwasher. I came in that morning, and touched everything, ran water holding the dishwasher, nothing. Honestly thought it was just a nerve pain thing for her, until a moment ago. Our garbage disposal had quit working about a week or so ago for good. It had a moment or two recently, but just thought it had died. I was loading the dishwasher, and touched the sink, and wham, it bit me. So, like a normal guy, I did it again

, sure enough, bit me again. I started my investigation, with my magic electrical detector pen, and the dishwasher is fine, nothing odd. Wires to the disposal were fine, but then I touched the disposal itself, and my pen lit up. I also touched the sink, and it lit up. Apparently, something inside the disposal is off, loose wire maybe, and it's putting electricity into the outside of the disposal, which is connected to the metal sink, and boom, you get bit if you're touching anything else metal. Flipping the breaker after the dishwasher is finished, and gonna unhook it in the morning, replace next week hopefully. Just found it odd, never experienced that.
