-The WR Screen is not the greatest play in all of football.

-Run Hurd to the outside. He is best on the perimeter.

-Probably more of a Butch call, but don't go over-conservative because we went up by a point.

-When you successfully perform the quick hit over the middle to the tight end, that doesn't mean abandon it for the rest of the game.

-Actually, when you run any play that's successful, that doesn't mean abandon it for the rest of the game.

That's all I can think of for the moment.

Don't call the double reverse in the Red Zone when Stryker is encamped in your backfield

Run Marshawn Lynch from the 0.5 yard line with the SuperBowl on the line

It seems to be against our team :cray:

This X 100000000.

The one thing we COULD NOT RISK was getting outside of field goal range.

Also tack on..... when you're on the 2 yard line ready to score and Hurd just sliced them up all over the field to get us here, DO NOT GO EMPTY BACKFIELD!!! You basically put a neon sign on Worley that said "Hey I'm gonna pass, be ready to pick this off."

Wow, so you think he called a lot of screens because he liked them? We couldn't block long enough for normal route tree passing. It was done out of necessity.

-You're not going to beat your most hated rival 9-0. Show some balls and go for it on 4th down or fake a FG.

The playbook should open up quiet a bit with an improved OL and not Worley at QB.

Agreed. The only way to get a true sense of Butch's offensive philosophy is to look at some Cincinnati game film when he was there. Too many personnel issues up to this point. However, this year is a different story.

That play went for negative yards more times than I care to remember. Sorry Bajakian but you're a coach, find a more effective play with your personnel. And if you feel the WR screen is your best option, don't run it every other down.

It got unreasonably predictable after a while.

These coaches, who are paid in the millions, forget more football in an afternoon than most on here will ever know.

That coaches are human and make some really whopper mistakes. See Gruden - FFCA. See Dools - UK loss.

We don't want that to happen, do we?

Weird. In the UGA game with Worley we seemed to throw a lot less screens...and scored more points...pretty sure the OLine didn't just turn into the 90's Dallas Cowboys for that game.

Bama has no problem with the WR screen even pre Cooper.

I don't have a problem with it either. It's a good play to mix up the defense and get the ball in the hands of playmakers. However, as I said before, we ran it wayyyy too much. And it's not always the appropriate play and that never stopped Coach Jake.

Mizzou was eating it up every time we threw it, and we just kept throwing it. Over, and over, and over. Vandy played us like they expected it every play, and they blew it up every time we threw it.

This is a pretty good list; gave it a like.

But, not too sure about #2 ... Hurd also had some productive bursts between the tackles ... and he should be even bigger and stronger this year. Just mix it up.
