We had good recruiting classes in the past. The problem has been in the past we have taken 4* and 5* guys and over the course of their career have not developed them or in some cases made them go backwards.
You guys can point the finger and say Kiff is no better than Fulmer and Co. all you want. The painful truth is this: The group of young men we have over there now has been taught so badly over the years, we aren't going to ever completely reverese the effects until all those guys are gone and the new dogs are in the house. With the excpeption of a very few like EB.
I saw more than a few times in the UCLA old habbits coming back. Poor shoulder tackling, and on more than one occasion lazy route running, poor technique up front on the O-line, and of course, our QB play. I seen some of the freshmen make some bad decisions and utilize some bad technique, but those guys can be taught, unfortunately the seniors on this team are mostly a lost cause. Do something wrong long enough, in key situations, you will always revert back to what you know.

As far as our QB situation. Kiff knows if he sits Crompton, he can never go back to him. He has painted himself into a corner with his previous statements about rotating QB's and sticking with one.
That's my take..
