They'll give Fulmer one more year

Again....if Fulmer is back next season then he's here for several more years. Next year's schedule is almost a default 9-3; 4 lame OOC opponents all at home, 4 SEC home games, and from the West we get a down Auburn team and Ole Miss. So it's a pretty good chance we would go 9-3, still losing our biggest games. But Fulmer and his Fulmerites would claim it as evidence of improvement and compare it to 2007.

Yea, yea, yea....That's why I proceeded my post with "I hate the be 'that guy.'"

I've never posted anything of the sort, and I'm certainly not asking anyone to believe me. I certainly don't feel a need for vindication for being right on an internet message board. Just posting what I know. Next time, I'll keep it to myself.

I'm not saying that what you have heard is not true, however, with so many people coming on and posting from their "sources" it has almost become like the boy who cried wolf. I guess we will all just have to wait and believe it when we see it.

If Fulmer stays, Clawson stays. There is no way they will change offenses again without changing head coaches. The scapegoats are Crompton, and that Clawson hasn't had enough time to institute his full offensive package.

not so sure about that.........I think Clawson is a great guy, very likable......but his offense is no good........he will get the ax either way, i think.........

I hate to be 'that guy,' but my source says that Fulmer has already been told he won't be coaching next year. Claw and Chavis will be held on until the the new coach decides personnel, which in other words means they're both canned as well.....

Take with a grain of salt, but I trust this source.

Will they also fire the buttheads that host Vol Calls?

Given that it is his first year and his offense still has not been totally implemented, and the qb's he has had running it, I don't think anyone can say that his offense isn't any good. Plus if they keep Fulmer, and fire him, then no one would take that job. They can't fire Clawson and keep Fulmer, that would be completely ridiculous. In fact at this point they can't fire any of the staff and keep Fulmer, because they wouldn't find anyone willing to become Phil's new scapegoat. If Phil gets to stay, then they all will stay, unless someone gets another job of course. I am about 50/50 on whether or not the AD will make the move. I think it should be done, but they have dragged their feet on this for so long, I have to wonder if they won't do it for another year.

Finally a post i can agree with. 1/2 season i way too early to judge an offensive coordinator.

Ridiculous. He just had the #2 class in the nation in
2007. So much for recruiting rankings
