They are starting JG after the bye... (this week's depth chart)

do you think everyone in Louisiana has given up on Orgeron?

they're rebuilding and

I guess we continue to do so

wish we had the recent chmpionship hardware to make this a more tolerable transition...

Don't see why if this year doesn't count against eligibility, you wouldn't start your 5 star freshman and get him some good experience so that he comes out killing it next season when our record is the same as everyone else's.

But naw let's just ride that 7th year senior who regresses every season whom is a lost cause. Cause change is hard and it would just send everything out of whack.

Go back to Bama!!

You sayin I'll score me a bottle of that before I see someone else under center?
I have a greater chance of scoring a free bottle of Pappy than seeing someone else under center.

Or better yet, there is a greater chance of Blob Kesling calling a perfect game with no mess ups or "Cheggarboards" than seeing someone else under center.

During his interview, Pruitt confirmed that JG will be starting against Arkansas. Stated the JG had another good week of practice, doing the things that needs to be done. When will this idiot realize that JG practice performance is not translating to good play during the game. Just do not understand.

If you think LSU fans or administration would accept this type of coaching and play in year 3, you are wrong. LSU is coming off a National Championship and had 19 players go to the NFL and many more opt out of this season. Apple's and Oranges comparison.

CJP may know football, but his leadership qualities are severely lacking. Arrogant ignorance has no vaccine.

Either
1. Pruitt, being a Defensive coach, prioritizes risk avoidance, and thus he feels JG is the least risky option at QB.

or

2. Less likely, but he's done/tired of being HC. So he's mailing it in, knowing if he were fired he could go back to be being a DC back at Bama or other top tier SEC or ACC school and still collect some buyout $$$, oh and btw stick it to us TN fans.

Actually, I think Pruitt is tired of being a HC

Is what it is but why Hyatt ain't starting is beyond baffling

Agreed, if nothing else, just run him long when the play is not going to him to draw some D away from everyone else. UGA had no one who could stay with him at CB.

They’ve not changed the depth chart. At all. It’s a formality to pacify the media coverage. They adjust their lineup as they see fit. They’re not trying to give everyone a layup knowing who we’re rolling out

Sometimes I wonder if Pruitt would rather have a QB throw for 150 yards, 1 touchdown and 0 interceptions than one who throws for 400 yards, 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

He would, because he is still under the impression that he can field a defense that holds the opposing team to less than 14 points.

So all he needs is that one passing TD, and for the run game to be good enough to get one rushing TD and then just get to field goal range and let the defense do the rest.

With his current football mindset, he will never be a successful head coach, not at UT, and not at any other school until he comes to grips with the fact that with the way that the rules are structured now, football is an offensive game.

I've stated in other threads how frustrating it is JG keeps getting trotted out there and I refuse to watch another UT game with him under center. I have never felt this way before, but its almost to the point where I hope he is quarantined because of contract tracing (not actually having covid). Nothing serious, but something to give another guy an opportunity to take the job and run with it. Its sad as a fan thats what you feel like needs to happen for Pruitt to make a change at the position. If JG is healthy he plays, regardless of how bad he is. Its absolutely insane, he does not give us the best chance to win and you can see it in other players effort, they are just as frustrated.

Most likely still a little rough on his routes and/or command of the offense. He'll definitely play though. I'm more concerned with his number of snaps and targets/touches, than whether he 'starts' or not...
