I only brought that up as a example of coaching being a chess match. Now you are drifting into conspiratorial waters -- which I completely dismiss regarding Saban , but it is way easier to defend Tennessee on third down than virtually any other team in the world largely because of the QB. Maurer is a risk to scramble and would have to be addressed by the defense. I would even be in favor of playing JG on first and second down and bring in Maurer on third down vs. watching JG throw a missile behind a receiver running a 5 yd slant.
For the record I’m in the camp that wants to go with a change. I don’t necessarily think that BM or HB will give us a better chance to win but I’d like to give them more game experience and build for next year. I also don’t blame CJP for sticking with JG - coach is playing for wins to continue recruiting momentum and unfortunately JG offers him the safest approach. Not if JG comes back. We all know he isn't going pro, despite the couple of "stat" guys who dig for numbers to defend him after every loss.
I hope you're correct. For the record I’m in the camp that wants to go with a change. But to your point Joe, I honestly think JG and UT part ways next year. My best guess is that he’s gonna know the QB change is coming... coaches know they can’t risk letting a HB get frustrated and leave.
You’re upset because your boy isn’t playing. That would be relatable if it was due to current activity...but you led off with this from the beginning. Like the O&W Game last year. Already forming your narrative. First awareness of you.Maybe I’m just as pissed as the “fans” you claim I’m not apart of? I really don’t care who it is. UT just needs a change. I think they need someone capable of running but if JP went HB then it’s better than JG imo.
And I wasn’t wrong in anything I said prior to the O&W game. It just took a few months for it to “become truth” as you like to say. You’re upset because your boy isn’t playing. That would be relatable if it was due to current activity...but you led off with this from the beginning. Like the O&W Game last year. Already forming your narrative. First awareness of you.
The head cheerleader is potentially better. How do we know that? There is a difference between practice and games, and no matter how bad #2 stinks it up at game time, nobody else gets more than a few snaps.
Utterly ridiculous!
Insanity...doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting different results.
No no no. Mauer was outstanding last year till he got hit in the head one too many times. He needs to maybe play with less wreckless abandon for his health but the guy played very, very well.Best they have right now, whoever you want to lay the blame on for that fact. It's puzzling for sure, some would maybe call it malpractice of some sort.
You took it as a conspiracy. All I was saying is he became a 4* receiver by going up and attacking the football in traffic and he didn’t do so on that particular play. And I don’t “keep score”. I just remember what I’ve said and I don’t back down.I don’t even remember your posts before the Keyton Conspiracy. Glad you were keeping score way back then.![]()
It was an interception to us mere civilians. Live to fight another day. Then we found out how vital it was.You took it as a conspiracy. All I was saying is he became a 4* receiver by going up and attacking the football in traffic and he didn’t do so on that particular play. And I don’t “keep score”. I just remember what I’ve said and I don’t back down.
I’m sorry. I thought it was common to end a conversation by answering the question, not asking one in return and saying thanks. Perhaps not common in your culture. Let me try another way... I would like to end the conversation.Da nada. Now that you’re off the train, are you going to find some ole local girl to produce you some children?![]()
