Saw the florida one the other day and my jaw dropped. The ugliest thing ever and should not be allowed by the great state we live in.

I live in hellabama. I have had my doors to my car kicked in and "Roll Tide" spray painted on the hood. Dip cups dumped on my car and threats while I'm driving. They don't really do anything if you are stopped or in a parking lot. Some bammer trash walked up talking $#!T at Milos last season and I got out of the car. His buddies said "he's just drunk is all" and pulled him away. Like a scene out of Tombstone. I don't know how you treat them up in Tennessee these days , but extend the middle finger for me every chance you get.

I give them the big thumbs down out the window whenever I pass someone with those types of plates. I've got front and back UT plates, a power T hat on the dash and a UT key chain hanging from my rearview, most of them still don't get why I'm gesturing though.

What if they are Florida or Bama Alums? Oh wait, then they can get the hell out of our state.

I'd say there is a very logical explanation for that if they have those license plates.

:eek:lol:

On a side note , the Vol fans down here are some of the best you will find. Everytime I come to a Tennessee game and people see my tag , it's instant respect. It's also "How the hell do you live there" and "Vol fans living in Alabama are some mean ************* , tailgate with us".

You can bet I will give them hell!

I am currently in the middle if a "taking back the state" campaign. Every time I see a car with Florida or Bama tag, I slap a power T sticker smack dab in the middle of it.

I would like to know where the money they get from selling those tags goes. It would be nice if they were supporting UT by purchasing those tags.

How do you get an Alabama fan off your porch?

Just pay him for the pizza.

I hardly see the point of insulting another fan bases' intelligence when your own is sending death threats and insults to a 17 year old that's going to Vandy...

Awesome thread. Conclusion: if you are an alumnus from a university, don't ever leave that state. Isolation and inbreeding are the way to go. However, if you must leave the state, you can no longer be a fan of your alma mater. Additionally, TN fans are smarter than other fans.

Did I understand this correctly?

Dude it's a joke. Take it easy. Plus you don't think they're making fun of us for multiple things? That's what makes this fun. We take shots at them they take shots at us. Other wise there would be no need for teams and we'd all cheer for the same team.

I think UT fans are some of the most tolerable fans in the SEC. Gainsville and Tuscaloosa are terrible for opposing fans. Have you ever tried to walk down the Gainsville strip before a UT FL game with a UT shirt on? Their fans get in your face and try to provoke you. Am I saying some of our fans dont? I'm sure they do. But Gainsville is brutal.

I think the point of this thread wasn't to say you can't support your alma mater or your favorite team, it's just to say there are other ways to do that than using tennessee tags. I don't really care to be honest but if some people don't like them that's fine. No need for me to make them feel dumb or talk down to them because I disagree with their opinion.
