One more win will tie them for the best season in school history. Two wins and they will be immortalized as our first Final Four team.

Don't know if this has been posted but this shows Martin showing more emotion than I've ever seen. The last 30 seconds show his passion for his team and his love for these guys. I love it! GBO!

I'm not sure one more win exactly ties them for best season in school history- the 2009-2010 season was pretty amazing with the big wins over Kansas (with four players suspended) and Kentucky, among others.
But they do have a good chance to go further in this tournament than they've ever been before. I hope they prove us all wrong (most of us any way). A big dish of crow is tasting pretty good right now!

hence why he said, "one more win". To get to the final four, we will have to win two games, not one. if we only win one, and then lose in the elite eight, he says he would still rank the 09-10 season ahead of this one. of course, if we win both games, then yeah, this season would trump all others.

I disagree. The season as a whole will not be rated as one of the best. The POST-season will definitely go down in history if they make the Final Four. For me, this late season run we have had just goes to prove how much better the regular season could have been! I am not stuck on the regular season, though, and I'm looking forward to Friday night and this tournament run!!

My sentiments exactly. We win two more games and no one will remember the season looking back. They will remember it as the year we went to the Final Four.

yeah man. raised a vol fan all my life, but attended school at Auburn (long story). Fell in love with Auburn while I was there, but Tennessee is still numero uno in my heart.

I bet Wichita State would trade their 34-0 regular season for our record if it meant they were still dancing.

And if we'd gone 30-0 and lost in the first round you would have been on here posting about how championships are all that matter.

Agreed. It would be one of those stories that turn into a movie. Coach that beat the odds of cancer, followed a rock star at UT, people wanting to fire the coach to rehire the former coach then the team bands together and makes a run to a National Championship. It has all the makings of a feel-good sports movie.
