I picture him being in the huddle, trailing with less than a minute on the clock, telling the guys "Just get me the Ball"! Without him, we would have lost to Memphis,Kentucky and Vandy by no less than 15.

It's called being CLUTCH. He's stepped up during conference play. I hope to God he stays next season, he'll be an All-American. Still needs to get more consistent on his outside game, if he can do that, watch out

Tyler has been a great addition for us. We definately would not be poised to win a sec crown without him.

I agree 100%, without Tyler Smith we lose at least 6 or 7 more games. Is without question our best player and without him were not even a sweet sixteen team.

Come on guys. I agree the guy is a great player and we are much better with him. But saying we would lose games by 15 or would not be a Sweet Sixteen team without him is a bit much. We were a Sweet Sixteen team without him last year. The one thing he's missing to make him unstoppable is some sort of outside jumpshot.

I think that without him, we'd be:

- ranked somewhere between 15-20
- have a record of maybe 23-6 as opposed to 26-3
- a game behind MSU in the race for the SEC title instead of a game ahead

Tyler has really come on as the year progressed. Shame on me, early in the year I questioned whether he was over-hyped. He may not be our vocal leader, but he is definitely our best all around player.

Tyler has made a really good team on the verge of being great. Translation: a Sweet 16 team into a Final 4 team.

Agree completely. He puts us over the top because of his rebounding, leadership, and ability to score late in the post. I'm wondering why we don't post him up more early in games.

that's odd, I thought we were a sweet sixteen team last year while parading Bradshaw out at the 4 spot.

Smith will be back next year; you have to be able to hit a jumpshot to play in NBA. Not hating on him because he has had great moments this year and will need to be huge for tourney.

Tyler is the only consistent player on this team. (Unless you count Howell who is consistent in a bad way)

He aint that consistent; he is a good player, but he continues (along with everyone else other than CLo) to miss too many easy layups.

Our whole team needs to work on finishing under the basket, but there's more to basketball than just scoring.

he never takes a defensive or an offensive possesion off. The only guy that gives 110% all the time.

Example: that block on Bradley in the UK game. He was at half court while Bradley was at the 3 point line.

The put back in on the missed foul shot in the waning moments. He's a beast. Simply refuses to lose.

The list is very long of those who enter the NBA with no jumper, but Dwight Howard and Jason Kidd are two All-Star types who can't shoot a lick. Pippen's a top 50 ever player and couldn't hit the ocean from a raft when he entered the league.
