It is irrational to say that meyer hasn't proven himself as a great coach. What does it matter if he is winning with players recruited by zook? They are his players now, and he's winning. Plus, meyer brought in a stellar recruiting class last year (many of whom helped him win this year) and looks to have another lined up this year.

The guy won a NC'ship in his second year. What else could he have possibly done in the past two years to prove his worth as a coach? Please enlighten me.

Alot of sec teams, possibly even KY could have beaten osu last night. The gators played great, the defense was exceptional. BUT the defense did not have any freshmen players on it, which would be CUM kids. After the one kickoff, osu showed nothing. Impart because of the sec defense. But they also lost their big threat receiver which made them easier to defend in their first offensive possession.

Fl played us in their first true test of the season, and had our defense showed up in the 4th quarter they would have lost that game. LSU killed themselves, Georgia and South Carolina nearly beat them, and Auburn did beat them. I know it is all, what ifs, but they could have very well have been looking at a 5 loss season if they wouldnt have had the lucky bounces. Luck dont last forever, so if he repeats or is competing next year, serve my crow medium well. But I want to see more than 1 good season and 1 great season before I put him in the great coach catagory.

Larry Coker was named head coach in 01, they won the NC that year and played in the game the next. He quickly was regarded by the bandwangoneers as a great coach. Where is he now?

Yeah, a great group of athletes and a coach that can't get them over the hump anymore. I've tried not to say it but the Penn State game did it for me.:banghead2:

The latter, of course, being the AD.

Using that logic, Fulmer was clearly withholding what he knew to turn Ainge around and saved it until he could hire Cutcliffe again, and only then did he share it with Cutcliffe and the world.

Where did I say that, your reply is far from brilliant. He is the head coach though, to throw some stupid idea out there that he has not proven himself because he won with Zook's players is ridiculous.

But yes, the AD of UF is in a way responsible for the NC since he hired Meyer. If you can't see that, you are blind.

What is ridiculous about it? The fact that we are arguing about another teams coach is probably considered ridiculous to alot of people.

Did you give credit this year to fulmer for how good the offense was? Did you give credit last year to Fulmer for how good the defense was? I am not accusing you, just curios.

And I may be blind, but I give no credit to either of them,(CUM or the AD)

I dont think that osu was playing as well as they could have, and I also beleive that they may not have been as good as advertised, but better than last night.
