there is 1 reason for the offense problems

Listen, Butch, the players have made plays in spite of obvious coaching problems. Dobbs has made zero improvement in his passing game and still stares down his first option on nearly every play. 3 years in he shouldn't have that issue. Don't get me started on the OLine coach, the WR coach, or the secondary coach.

And what teams coaches would you not be complaining about? There are 8 teams in the sec playing worse on offense with much more experience and less injuries. If people like you called the shots, no one would keep their job for more than a few games.

And next season, maybe 1 or 2 teams in sec will be close to UT offensively...

There is no question that our coaches have made some questionable decisions throughout this season. But the single biggest problem with our offense is the line. Until we are no longer forced to play OVC level talent (Crowder, Weisman), we will continue to be plagued with inconsistencies.

This type of game should have seen gaping holes and zero qb pressure. Watching the left side of our line makes my head hurt. I am amazed that Jack Jones is not playing instead of Crowder.

I don't understand why we don't run our offense similar to how Ohio State does. They run the read option but also take deep shots and have a power run game when needed. Granted, they have quarterbacks who can actually throw the ball.

Our offense would likely look very similar if we could block anybody

This year we really couldn't afford a single injury on the oline... And 3 starters from beginning of year (including our best lineman, Robertson) are out.

But hey, fire debord!!!! We only have a top 4 offense in the SEC with our 3 best receivers (north, pig, croom) and 3 lineman on a very thin line out...

Not saying it wasn't ugly play. But how many offenses would you trade ours for in the SEC? Fully healthy we would be in the top 2 in the conference!!!

I agree we have had our setbacks.. however it is more about scheme than personnel. Watching Oklahoma right now with a Starting OT we didn't want.

What makes us better in 2016 than 2015?
- OLine Experience Talent - Yes
- Dobbs another year - Not much, he is who he is
- Hurd / Kamara - Already great, should improve some
- WRs - Getting healthy, we said that last year! Turn the page on North / Croom - Hopefully Williams, Jennings, Malone and Smith are great!
- TE - Wolfe is already great, more depth maybe

We are possibly the most talented team in the SEC on offense by far. If Mahoney could coach, we wouldn't be complaining about the OLine 3 years in. If Azzani could coach, Butch wouldn't have taken over the WR group 3 years in. The only person who appears to be a good coach is Butch, as special teams have been outstanding and that's his baby. But all that is lost on you because you don't "speak stupid," you just live it.

Youngest O in sec + most injuries in sec + bottom 5 oline before the injuries = most talented offense by far?

I suppose the fact that over the last 4 years about 8 SEC teams have out recruited UT makes us more talented? But great point about Mahoney- oline littered with healthy, jr and sr talent! 2nd in the SEC in rushing is embarrassing.

Robertson should be ready for next week. That will make a huge difference. Mizzou still has a good Dline (but they are thinner than years past), a good secondary and Kentrell Brothers.

I sure hope Lock throws some popups like he is against BYU. Cam, TK, Justin or Randolph will take it to the house if he does!

I agree. Having our best olineman back at guard will help the inside game and reduce pressure up the middle. Just imagine if Marcus Jackson didn't get hurt! Kendrick coming back will be great too. Love Hall, but oline is a place for upper class man (remember how many sacks Juwan James gave up as a freshman? No knock on the kid, at all)

It couldn't possibly be a porous oline, inconsistent qb play, wrs who drop balls or struggle to get open. Nope they're most entirely due to coaching.

Uh, considering the talent level, those issues are entirely due to coaching.

Will we have any offensive players make the All SEC team this year? We didn't have any make the first or second team in 2014...heck, we didn't even have a single player on the O get an honorable mention...so where is all this talent?

I agree the blocking must improve. However, even when Dobbs has time to throw he has shown the propensity to throw a dirt ball on a simple out route.

2 5star RBs and Debord constantly calls for runs up the middle -- Dobbs wouldnt even have to pass if the run plays werent so damn predictable

Don't come in hear with logic!

However I do think Jashon will make 2nd team all sec. Hurd could be 2nd team... North and pig were our others that should have been in consideration.

Next year we will have one of the most talented offenses. But not this year. Too young and injured to pretend we are right now

With Jashon in this works better and opens up the offense. Crowder struggled to open any holes.

So because we have injuries we don't try with the the players that are supposed do what they are doing being backups? Play calling sucks on both sides and the SEC is a wreck, so we're not explosive as the stats show
