There Are 14 SEC Teams

Express ticket to the electric chair.

Isn't that how you put it before?

I don't remember.

But if I did, I would have mentioned the Governor ain't making a phone call either.

My point of view stems from the fact that I believed (and I think have been proven correct) that Florida is not a championship team in 2016 and has no business playing for one.

If they beat LSU Saturday, I would be happy about the win. Yeah, you could say they won the East. But, I know they are not at the level they need to be at.

I'd rather beat FSU than LSU for a host of reasons.

When Florida makes the SEC championship game again, I want to believe going in that they are a championship quality team. That doesn't mean you win the game either, it just means you belong.

Right now, we don't belong on the same field as Alabama and I think Saturday will show we don't belong on the same field as LSU either.

You do know we forced him into 2 turnovers and they still beat us by 40? I'm not saying we don't have a chance but I hope we at least keep it within 2 scores because last game was a flat out embarrassment to the football program. I know we have had a ton of injuries and that's the bulk of the reason why we lost the other 2 games but there's no way a team should beat us by 40. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that game. Hopefully we put up a better showing with the title on the line.

They beat a hobbling SHELL of our team. There is no team in America that can sit out its 4 best linebackers, and have all 5 starting OL injured and expect to stay close to Bama. But we are getting some guys back, week by week.

and only 3 of them still have a chance to be SEC Champions and one of them is us. Is there a good chance?..nope but stranger things have happened...to me that shows improvement that we are at least competing for championships again.

Go Vols!
Buck Fama!

Its not that many are denying we are better its the fact that many believe he has hit his ceiling as a coach here.

No one can stop bamas run game because the refs are cool with Bama holding like crazy. Every big Hurts run has holding a blind person could see.

You have a point but in all fairness, technically holding can be called on just about every run play.

So tired of this Bama conspiracy crap. Refs don't need to collude for Bama to win games. No one is fixing games. Get off it

I don't get the whole idea of the SEC making sure they don't lose. They're in the playoffs regardless, with only one loss. Lose to Auburn and then the SEC might get nervous. A two late loss, non conf champ Bama would probably be out, and NO SEC team would get in. A travesty maybe, and the only scenario that I could see a conference office conspiracy even being needed.

That said, it's a conspiracy THEORY when no more evidence is presented than "I think, feel, or believe". Give some real defendable evidence and then you have something. Otherwise, stop with the nonsense. Just makes folks look bad imo.

True statement. But, what gets me about this clairvoyant ceiling crowd is that they can determine something for the next 10 years, yet can't make million$ on next week's games in Vegas. Think @ it.

Just like the national political prognosticators this year... I don't believe their "ceiling" predictions are rooted in anything more than opinion laced with emotion.

No reasonable person would have expected UT to beat UF in 14', did we have a chance yes but that was solely due to outplaying UF with lesser talent. You can't really criticize a coach for that.

Florida was bad in muschamp's 3rd year. Bad. The ball was on their side of the field the whole game and we couldn't put it in the end zone. It was at home. It was checker Neyland. It was the loudest I'd ever heard it in Neyland. Everything was set up for us to win.

No hard feelings towards him. He finally knocked em off. But it was a head scratcher.

My point is Bama is already way more talented than most teams. But it's just pure denial if you don't see Bama has a referee advantage every single game. Pure. Denial. Look at the horrendous missed hold on the only touchdown in the LSU game. Enough said.

Look at the number of penalties called, penalty yards and the differentials in every game that Alabama has played. Unfortunately, the statistics simply do not support the premise.

OP makes a good point. Yes Bama is superior but what it Kirkland or Sutton make a difference to turn ball over alot and Hurts has his rookie game finally? Let's play it before we wave the white flag. Talent gaps can be made up with turnovers.

Absolutely
