The Zone Runs Thread - 2013

No, not at all. I didn't even have to do anything.
Sometimes it just happens

I'm running again, which is akward cause I'm at work. Protein bar + beers= running fast

Apparently

Saturday night I ran my first timed mile run in over 20 years. It was not a good time, especially since the last time I ran a 5k, (also my previous last timed run) I was much, much faster.

I've gotten to the point where I can do a decent speed, but I still can't run the full 5k yet. I'm on a program, should be set by the 3rd.

I can play basketball for days...can't run a 5k.

Slow down. Get the distance first, then the speed will follow, IMO.

I kept pace for the entire run, just shocked at my time. 1 mile in 12:15. The last time I ran the 5k, just over 19 minutes.

I am too old.

Just takes time. Keep it up and it will get better. Finishing is all that matters.

I ran sub 4:30 7 years ago. I could prolly run 6 flat smoking a cig.

Have you done one? I'm wondering if they're actually easier, because you get a minute to catch your breath on each obstacle.

I haven't actually done one. The reviews for the Zombie run makes me think they handle waves better than the Warrior Dash.

The Georgia run, not the the Knoxville run.
