The Zone Edition: Face with screen name thread.

The High School in Hawaii that I went to in the mid 70's, you just kind of hung out until around
12:00 and then left and went surfing......lol, but when I got back to TN to be a senior I just had
to go to night school to graduate because of my credits

My high school principal’s secretary had my Mom on speed dial I think.

I skipped class. A lot. And I went to a Christian school where it was not easy to get away with.
My principal for 2 years was also my pastor as a kid. I felt like I personally inspired most of his messages😂.

I would love to go to Hawaii

You and the fam can visit when I move to Kauai.
Boom! I have a good friend I grew up with, she's half Hawaiian. Dad was white, mom Hawaiian. She goes over there every few years, and posts some of the most beautiful pics.

Well my parents are from Tennessee and I have been here over 40 years and I will live and
die here, never leaving, it is paradise here. In Hawaii it can be a little rough, just watch some
of the surfing video's where you may not be welcome....

When I was in 8th at Aliamanu (aka “Haole Manure”), December 7 was traditionally “beat haole day.” I stayed home. 🤪

I gotcha Girlfriend, I have paddled way outside with a friend before and realized that we were the "only haole's" out there and then when I saw the Giant waves coming in anyway I
bailed and paddled as far as I could to the right where they faded and my friend caught a smaller wave on the way in that a local was already on and you don't dare hit their board and
she jumped off and grabbed her board.

There just happened to be one of Dad's high school friends over there when we were there and he was a news caster and sometimes Dad would meet him after the news and they
would go eat somewhere in Honolulu, and Dad was dressed like a tourist in white pants and an aloha shirt and was walking back to his car about 10:30 at night and he heard foot
steps behind him and it was 4 guys and they jumped him, one had him from behind around the throat, and one on either side of him had him by the arms and then one in front on
him hitting him, well Dad had some white golf shoes on without cleats and he kicked the guy in front of him as hard as he could and dropped down to the ground and ran right in
front of an unmarked police car coming down the alley and he took him to the police station, and that was a miracle that the unmarked car came down the alley at that time. Anyway
I did not see my Dad until the next morning and he had stitches above his browl and blue marks around his neck and arms and I said "What happened to you, and he said nothing".
So Hawaii can definitely be rough.
