The Zone Edition: Face with screen name thread.

I would have died of embarrassment if my parents had “escorted” my date and me to our prom. We had chaperones hanging off the palm trees. I had never given them any reason to worry about me. And if a teen is determined to get up to something, they will absolutely find a way to do so.

Something like this “escorting” thing is a clear signal that you don’t trust your kid.

At some point - and this is one of them - you have to decide that you’ve done your best as a parent, and that your time of directly controlling their every move is over. If you don’t start to step back at times like this, how will your kid learn to think for herself/ himself?

Children of helicopter parents have a terrible time learning to be responsible for their own selves.
Ma'am, we are all subject to sin.... Myself included. I have a lot of confidence in my daughter and I'm not insinuating anything about anyone's daughter. I figure that Joe's girls are sweet and wholesome and probably great kids. I think Joe's a great guy and it appears that he has done a great job raising them.
But none of us are above sin and we would all be wise to safeguard against it no matter how good we think we are. And that's not a shot at anybody but would be good for all of us, myself included.

Joe, it's none of my business how you go about doing things, but I would never let them go unescorted.
A person can handle temptation if there's no opportunity, and opportunity if there's no temptation. But if you let opportunity and temptation meet and your asking for trouble! Accountability is a wonderful thing!!!

Don't you come up in here telling Joe how to raise his kids! That's errbody elses job.

Fortunately, God is forgiving. Of all types of sins (other than the one unforgivable sin.)

Ah well, time to do a final warmup on this morning’s anthem:

So you have full confidence she didn't hook up with a cousin.
🤣. That also! My jr year, I got in trouble by the principal for the way I was dancing. My senior year, I started a little scuffle, but I was defending the honor of my girlfriends sister!👀🤣

They got their professional pictures back, and I like this one. Her BFF holding her, while he tries to pull her away 🤣
Yep Joe, I'd definitely show him my gun collection and probably slobber like a mad dog and growl a little bit while I did it...... Just saying 😁

I got him today. I asked them why it took them 5 minutes longer to get from there to here, than it did from here to there. I said it's the same distance, so I want to know where that extra 5 minutes went. The look was priceless 🤣
Show no mercy to those little swine Joe! Interigate the little punks until they cry!!! Walk around carelessly with a big sharp knife and point it at him from time to time..... My daughter is prolly gonna die an old maid....😂
