The Zone Edition: Face with screen name thread.

ABA Kentucky Colonels is a team I saw a lot. Artis Gilmore was the 7’ 2” center. Dan Isell played with no front top teeth.
After a Sounds game against Kentucky I am outside the locker room in a foyer. Artis Gilmore is standing near me when a ball boy came up & told him he left his sweatbands on the locker room bench. Gilmore took the bands & stuck them in a pocket of the full length mink he was wearing. I walked up to him & asked if I could have those sweatbands he put in his pocket. He didn’t hear me & I repeated it. He handed them to me. Walked away & some guy offered me $100 for them. I didn’t take it. Gave one to the buddy I was with & still have the other. Pics are from that night. Autograph & then a picture.

Okay, you have my attention.

Tell me about him. I already love him. Lol.
He's a labsky, husky and lab mix. Pretty smart, and vocal little guy, he let us know first thing he needed to go out this morning. He also let us know he was ready to eat when he got back inside. Seems very energetic, he was running around, and trying to climb everything when I left.

Wow.

I knew he was a lab but his eyes threw me and I actually thought to myself "looks like a husky's eyes"....and his feet too. He's gonna be a cool dog.

That's awesome! I'm happy for you and your family, and your new family member as well. Where'd you find him?

My wife's sister works with the man who breeds them. He said they're very good dogs, great with kids. I'm very curious about how he'll end up looking as he grows.

Actually looks like a smile there Joe.

Happy for you, I know you're loving it and that's what it's all about.
I actually, out of all of us, lost it the worst. Everyone was hugging, and when I got hold of her, I just couldn't hold it. Just so happy to have us all together.

It's great when they get to come home after an extended absence. Taking them back to the airport is the toughest part of the visit.
