I try to buy products from stores that specialize in that item. I wouldn't buy a steak at a outdoor furniture store so why would I buy furniture at a grocery store?

The stocking decision at a place like kroger is likely based purely on margin vs. a place that makes a product it's primary business makes decisions based on quality & margin.

If you buy a crappy auxiliary product from kroger it's probably not going to stop you from buying groceries there but if the outdoor furniture store sells crappy stuff they will soon be out of business.

If the product is made by sony or nike what difference does it make who you bought it from?
